The ship is a ship, it’s not your character…The ship dictates the role, not the character. In RPGs, the character and the class are tied together and pretty much dictate your role…not in EVE. You can switch ships/roles very easily and proficiently.
In some RPGs. In other RPGs there is no rigid class structure and you’re free to use whatever skills/weapons/etc you want.
What definition states that this is the case?
I can name several RPGs, where roles are tied to the equipment and not to the character.
Do I have to call in Darlo again to put you in your place?
Such as with examples please…
Albion Online, FF14 just to name a few.
Also RPGs have nothing to do about game mechanics in its defintion.
RPG is just role playing game. It is a very broad term. Not sure, why you somehow warped your view of reality in such a weird way.
NO
only noobs think that changing ships is the primary motivation to keep playing
Oh my, he is typing a very long post.
My guess is, that he cannot just agree that he was wrong.
Your question was probably rhetorical -
The list may need to be updated, but yah, isk sinks are pretty much npc related, fees, taxes, etc…
From 2012, player Tippia: Faucets: NPC bounties NPC buy orders Agent rewards: Mission rewards, Mission time bonuses, Incursion rewards Insurance payout GM actions: Reimbursement for lost pods Character creation Sinks: Market taxes & fees: Broker fees, Sales tax NPC sell orders NPC station services: Repairs, Jump clone installation, Medical clone installation/upgrade/station change, Science and industry slot rental, Ship insurance NPC station office fees: Rent, Impound penalties Wardecs Sov…

In RPGs your class dictates your role.

RPG is just role playing game.
Thanks for that…
How does this support your definition that RPGs can only have classes tied to the character?

can only have classes tied to the character
Where did I say “only”?

Many people say no, but you hardly see any come up with better ideas.
Imagine some idiot came along and said, “Guys, guys, guysguysguys, I got it: Square wheels. Whattaya think? It’s dope, right?”
And then everyone says, “Uhm. Nope.”
And then the idiot says, “I don’t see you coming up with any better ideas.”
No idea literally is a better idea.
For the amount of money that is being charged per omega account I cannot wrap around my head how in the hell full character customization along with all the outfit IS NOT FREE?! I go chimpanzee on PCPPCCPPC every time I think of that mercantile greediness of theirs.

In RPGs, the character and the class are tied together and pretty much dictate your role.
Ok, I admit you didn’t say only. But if that was the case, why did you argue against eve being an RPG?
Eve is an RPG just like any other.
noun
- a game in which players take on the roles of imaginary characters who engage in adventures, typically in a particular fantasy setting overseen by a referee.
We fly around in imaginary characters engaging in adventure. There is nothing else to it. Nothing about game mechanics.
Or do your hatred towards my support for Naari and Darlo cloud all judgement?

For the amount of money
$12??? Maybe you shouldn’t be playing video games if that amount shocks you. Also, you can do those things for free in game once you get good enough.

greediness of theirs
Do you work for free?
Ok, I misspoke. You did not argue that eve was an RPG. You opposed the class/role ship thing.
But how is eve ships not roles, when other RPGs equally have roles tied to equipment. Ships are just equipment.
Your post made no sense, just admit it. You just wanted to try to prove a non-existent point.
I won’t start annoying you with details like $15/m and not $12/m, however I will say that all these extras that are being attempted to be sold on top of what you are already paying is just pure rip off in form of volunteer expenses one has to make in order to change something silly as appearance.

Eve is an RPG just like any other.
Eve is like any other classless based RPGs (as per your examples)…I’ll give you that. Games where the “R” is not dictated by the character build. Elite would be another example I guess if you like.
Also your definition is for tabletop…not videogames. Might want to update that one…
Does your love towards Naari and Darlo cloud your judgement?

Ok, I misspoke. You did not argue that eve was an RPG.

Your post made no sense, just admit it.
God lord…take a breath and let your brain catch-up to your typing…
