Time to say good bye EVE online

Really? CCP changing the way we mine… So where’s the catch? There’s always a catch with them.

The catch is you might need to train into a different ship.

  • Establish a sustainable role for Rorquals and Orcas and do a general balance pass on mining ships to ensure that they each have a unique role and they are balanced in terms of wealth generation and survivability.

CCP’s way of saying they are not balanced currently.

I think atm mining with good skills is like 70m/h or something in a mining barge and 120mil/h huffing gas in a c5 with a venture/prospect.

They’re expensive when all you got is a few hundred thousand ISK.

Yes, that’s my case. I mine in low but at the rate I’m going I’d be dead before I can manufacture a ship.

OH you’re not rude. You’re actually pleasant to read.
And I’m sure I haven’t tried lots of other strategies. I guess I get lost in the little picture instead of broadening my horizons.

I understand that if I want to play EVE and have fun I’ll have to join a corp. Which one is the pickle. There are so many bad corps. in EVE. And some rip you off too, before sending you packing and destroying your ship on your way out.

i play solo and god forbid you waste some time to try pvp eh?

Aaah yes, there’s the catch. Need to go Omega.
I’ll go Omega when CCP is done with their changes, nerfs and boosts and quit tempering with game mechanics. I guess when EVE is finished. Because right now it feels that the product isn’t finished since they have to shuffle sh!t around and do and all those things that players complain about.

Oh for Pete’s sake! Get off my balls with your PvP god. He’s a false god and his prophets are nothing but cult leaders.

I pretty much think the same way. Un subbed all my acct’s, etc. I did take the bait for the yearly sub offer for this toon though. Turns out all the sub cap skills I want to lvl 5 take 255 days so I guess a win for me kinda?

I would never sub for an entire year at once. I think three months at a time is safer.
What if I sub for a whole year and get run over by a truck the very next morning?
We don’t even know what can happen next month with the psychopaths that lord it over us.

Now that you paid for a year my advice is to play the sh!t out of this game, changes or not.

You could join Pandemic Horde and be mining or ratting in nullsec in Corp provided ships within an hour. It’s not begging, it’s more like being paid to attend a trades school. They keep you supplied with the basics and in turn you learn how to grow into bigger things, which then provide income back to the Corp in taxes and goods. I’m in Pandemic but it’s not a recruitment ad. I think Karmafleet does the same thing, as well as Brave as well as probably someone in TEST but I’m not too familiar with them.

The “few” friends that survived the game with me would get my acct’s. We gamed together for a long time together before EVE. (my wife has the passwords) That’s what made a small corp so dangerous. As for subbing by the year, when the game was really worth playing like an addiction, we would pay by the yr just to not have to grind to play. There was no plex back then so we had to rmt to put more isk into the game to keep up our life style which was mostly wd’ing the null blocks. Ahhh, back in the days when a small corp could actually annoy the ■■■■ outta null blocks! The 1st Burn Jita! :star_struck:

Edit; And yes, I did make myself listen to the whole thing. :eyes:

OH you mean these guys?

NO THANKS.

Did you read like the very next post below that? Anyways that definitely hasn’t been my experience or the experience of the hundreds of guys I fly with on a daily basis. Regardless, the way you are currently playing definitely isn’t sustainable in Eve I would think. Flying a venture into lowsec to mine a little ore is absolutely asking for a frustrating play experience. You need to either find a game you like more or change your perception of what you could be doing. I got sent out into space in just my corvette as a brand new player in 2020 too, and I’m doing just fine. You can too. Or quit and know its just not your style.

P.S. the guy in the posts you mentioned probably didn’t get blown up for personal reasons, he got blown up because he showed as a neutral in null sec. That is just how eve is.

Crap, I forgot to add that a wise Goon in the forums once told me to prepare for the age of chaos. His reasoning was so sound that I packed up all my crap and took the yr sub’s to prepare. Lucky me made out ok.

Lucky for me also in life that I can afford to sub all my acct’s so a yr to lvl some stuff while only logging in 5 times a yr is while probably a waste, it’s my money to waste. Although with the threat of hs standings rearing it’s head, I may just go on a standings repair binge for the yr!

For my part. If highsec will become too safe and Lowsec and wormhole will become overly populated. I don’t need the omega time anymore. I just need it for the covert cloak. I love the current lowsec because you can compare it to a rural life.

I’m stuck on this character for now, but my main has fairly good empire and security standings so should, hopefully, be ok.

Arrendis?

How did you know???

He and I have diametrically opposed opinion’s, but he is a wealth of common sense.

I have lots of games to play instead of EVE and I do play them. EVE is just another one of my games.
Changing my perception of what I could be doing… okay, sounds good. I shall make an effort and explore more avenues… I just hope skills and ISK aren’t going to be a hindrance.
