Time To Sort Out Ship Skins

Just because I look at the roadkill as it zooms by doesn’t mean I want it all over my shiny new tyres.

You are addicted to having the last word. And dishonest enough with yourself to think what you said never happened.

If you say you are done replying to me, then stop replying to me… if you can.

Why are you comparing another game to this one? You do realize that different games provide different things? I can die in other games and not lose everything i was carrying.

And I suppose that The model T ford comes in every shade and pattern in existance? Wouldnt you have to pay someone to paint your car with the pattern and colour that you want it to be?

Because I can.

No…the whole point of that reference was Henry Ford’s famous quote ’ the customer can have any colour he wants, as long as it’s black '. Model T Fords were originally only available in that colour.

You are arguing over 2 different windows. One on the character sheet one in the fitting window.

That’s why I asked for a screenshot.

Thank you.

If you’d actually logged into the game since 2019 you’d know exactly what I was talking about with reference to the ‘Personalization’ screen…as its a more recent addition…and would not need a screenshot.

Incidentally, couldn’t help but be wryly amused by your earlier attempts to make out I’m ‘poor’. In one of your earlier screenshots you accidentally gave away that your own account has a mere 366K ISK in it.

Which I did to provide a screenshot, funnily.

So yes I still needed a screenshot. What you think is utterly unrelated : Whether or not you think I needed one does not change that I asked for one and provided one myself to have a basis for constructive discussion.

Thank you for being so wrong it’s sad.

So what if my alt has 366k isk ? it’s money I forgot to remove. Just the skin I showed can sell instant for 350M. This toon has 0 isk, it prevents misclick on the market ^^ .
Also I did not try to make out that you’re poor. I said just because you can’t afford, does not mean that other can’t. Which I still hold. English is a difficult language for some persons.

Thanks for making personal attacks instead of constructive comments. That, with your persistent refusal of giving the related information asked, proves your goal is not discussion, but the promotion of your opinion whatever that implies, especially even when you are wrong.
You are not trying to discuss, you are not trying to explain, you are not willing to change your mind. You are here to make personal attacks toward the person who disagree and explain you why. That’s all there is to your posts.

You need a screenshot to show the existence of a menu that anyone who has fitted a ship in the last 2 years knows off by heart ?

Er, no…I was responding to your personal attack.

I asked for a screenshot. Period.
Your understanding was not required. Your compliance was.
I even made a screenshot myself. You can’t pretend I ask for absurd things. I took all the steps towards a constructive discussion.
Yet you decided to go over aggressive and delusional.

“it’s not me, it’s you”.

I guess you’re not at that age yet.

I could not care less what you asked for. I already told you your posts are not worthy of a response…other than stating that fact…due to their toxicity. Go troll someone else’s threads.

THAT is ad hominem.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling.
  • Ad hominem attacks.
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content.
  • Knee-jerk contradiction.

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

As I stated earlier…I don’t respond to toxic posters, other than to state that policy.

Provably false by simply scrolling up and reading your posts over the last eighteen hours.

Ah…that must be why you said…

Well, I absolutely think CCP wastes a lot of potential, both financially and player satisfaction, by not paying enough attention to the Skin System.

  • Most standard skins should be direcly purchasable in the NES, either single or as part of packs, for PLEX. Can be sold at the open market. → funds the game
  • “Navy/Police/Military” skins and “Pirate/Outlaw” skins should be available for all ships of a faction. These should be only obtainable via the LP-store of this faction in exchange for LP, ISK and dogtags of the opposing faction. Can be sold at the open market. → ISK sink
  • Skins that were part of past events should be part of the random daily login reward skins. These can only be appled to a character of this account, they cannot be sold on the market. → incentive to login, to have a small chance to get an ultra-rare skin at some point
  • Skins that were rewards for special tournaments should stay unique, only offered again if such tournaments return. They are character-bound to the char that wins them in the tournament. → motivation to participate in such tournaments, unique trophy for the winner(s).

No, that is utterly irrelevant
All those quotes were in the context of what you pretended before.

At first I used “you can’t afford” to remain factual. Then you are trying to make general statement that could justify your opinion a posterior. Like claiming that 2B is “ridiculously expensive” : If it is, then you are poor. Or claiming you should have all the skins immediately : it is is, then you feel entitled. Don’t state blanket judgements if you don’t want to be pointed out for what they say about you.

Fact is, you can’t afford the skins ; it does not mean they are too expensive in the general case. Your opinion is, they are “ridiculously expensive” but that opinion that you express as a general rule implies that you are poor as a general rule.

Note that I don’t pretend their price is correct. But explaining why it is not requires more arguments than “I can’t afford them”.

Finally, you were the one talking about isk.
I was not (at first, when talking about affording)

But I already know you can’t understand that post because english may be too difficult for you.

Wow what a levelheaded response. @Altara_Zemara @Aisha_Katalen Get in on this.

A system that actually has logic to it.
