CCP, like any other online business, sells its service as advertised - and provides the service with good faith regarding its advertised functions, features, and benefits. 2 weeks of failures does not fall “within reason as advertised”. Do you see CCP putting out videos about how capsuleers need to battle DDoS, combat unstable playing time, deal with failed logins, and navigate an unreliable chat service & player awareness channel? No, because those are absolute exceptions - not the norm. However, those experiences have now shifted to “norm” - or to be clear - “expected occurance, not as advertised” - with no end in sight. It is THEIR responsibility to ensure that their service meets the expectation (they created through advertising) that their customers have - irrespective of the cyber challenges facing them. They accepted this responsibility when they became a MMO, just like any other online business accepts this as a SaaS, Online Bank, Stock Exchange, or Digital Financial Service. Online businesses are responsible for dealing with the digital challenges they face, just as a brick-and-mortar retailer is expected to have stock, customer parking, point-of-sale, a safe premises, and physical security. If it can’t provide those - it ceases to trade and exist - simple!

All, I am a multi boxer… I noticed my main whom is subbed was the only acct I was having lasting ddos attack issues. my alt had no issues after the initial fix attempt my alt is not subbed but plexed. so I decided to uninstall the eve launcher which is really not so bad these days considering modern eve store almost nothing on your machine. after reinstall I seem to have previous functionality. I hopes this helps the good guys and bad alike to get back to our favorite game. shame on those evil doers whom choose to use their talents for their own personal gain or to settled vendettas… as I write this
Don’t you worry, the connection stability and chat issues will return for you - I am on a full fresh install of the game - AND OS because of a HDD issue last weekend - was ok for first couple of days back - then started having chat issues. Then Friday night and last night, all went haywire, and I got booted on Friday from the game - and last night chat went to crap, when it came back - channel headers were missing, and not everyone appeared back on local - yet one of them typed in local with no issues…
I suspect most ‘fixes’ people mention don’t have much of anything to do with correcting the issue. i think its just that its another connection attempt and/or it forces a new token to be generated.

After weeks of not playing much, was looking forward to a relaxing Saturday evening. Just to find the game crash while we form for a fleet fight to defend a station. Well. I assume CCP does what they can but it doesn’t look like it’s good enough. Can’t blame DDOS, hackers don’t know what for weeks in a row. If this is a commercial business, please handle it that way.
Legally speaking, he is correct although at the end of the day, if people cannot use a product they are paying for and there is no compensation at all, they will take their money elsewhere.
Northeast U.S. here…I have been lucky I guess. I haven’t had any problems in days, and I felt confident enough that I resumed the Epic arc I was in the middle of before this all came about. Everything has been working well for me for 3 days now.
South of Finland reporting all systems stable all morning.
It seems to be getting better slowly to me, issues are now sporadic and tend to resolve pretty fast. Still pretty happy we’re between campaigns so I don’t have to attempt to actually explode stuff in this mess.
The game is fubar, It’s log in set some skills and log of until this shite is sorted for a lot of players. (Myself included). That’s if you can be lucky enough to log in.
I just meant that with the DDoS attacks the game as it is at the moment is very unstable for quite a few players, I won’t un-dock and risk loosing my ships whilst it is unstable. So for the past 2 weeks all I do if I can get to log in is check my skills,market orders and anything that don’t involve un-docking and then I log back out. It sucks tbh.
