Triglavia-Invasion

Psst, Merin. Yeah, you, come over here a second. Keep your voice down, OK?

So, have you noticed how relatively few people bother responding to that guy you keep engaging with? Yeah, there’s a reason for that.

What can I say, my favorite porn site is down right now so I need something to get off to.

Not sure where you get this crap from but you’re completely wrong.

The decline in numbers over the years is due to CCP over-simplifying everything and changing Eve’s core gameplay concept into a scripted theme-park instead of what it was originally, a sandbox where players had freedom of choice to do what they wanted. CCP has constantly nerfed solo game-play content while focusing Dev resources into forcing players to do more group game-play content.

As for PvP vs PvE, over the years CCP has buffed PvP game mechanics a lot more than PvE game mechanics, all due to pandering to people like you.

STOP THAT!!! GO PLEX!!!

Lolwut? You honestly think that highsec PvP hasn’t been nerfed compared to the days of full insurance payouts on suicide gank ships, unrestricted wars at 5 million ISK each, no friendly fire restrictions against corp members, barges that had to jetcan mine and be vulnerable to ore theft, etc?

As for player numbers and the reasons behind them, we can speculate all we like. In fact, I think your point about theme park vs. sandbox design is valid. But it’s unrelated to the argument I made: that if Darlo’s claim that highsec PvP will kill the game unless it is removed were true then EVE would have died years ago, when highsec PvP was even more of a threat than it is now. Instead we see that EVE was growing and thriving in those days, so their claim must be false.

OK, what I said was that PvP game mechanics have been buffed a lot more than PvE game mechanics. I didn’t say anything about High, Low or Null Sec.

What’s up with you constantly spouting all this High Sec crap anyway, you’re like a broken record. How about you try getting out of High Sec once in a while, you should be able to find plenty of PvP action. Actually, CCP is adding new PvP Proving Grounds, game content made just for PvP players.

Oh yeah that’s right, never mind. I just remembered you don’t want to do any PvP with other PvP players, all you wanna do is gank Freighters and Shuttles with Fleet mates in High Sec.

Which has nothing to do with the quote that you replied to. You jumped into a discussion about highsec PvP by disagreeing with my statement, and now you want to whine about the fact that I interpreted it as being about highsec PvP and not an irrelevant off-topic tangent?

Apparently you’re not smart enough to understand the difference between “I can’t find PvP” and “I disagree with making highsec 100% safe for AFK farming”.

Hint for the clueless: I don’t even do highsec PvP. As I keep pointing out the people hurt most by nerfs to highsec PvP are not the PvP aggressors, they’ll just go kill people somewhere else. The main victims of PvP nerfs are highsec industrial and PvE players who have their income generation nerfed when AFK farmer trash floods the market with excess production. Smart miners/haulers/etc want lots of suicide ganking because they’re smart enough to avoid it and every time their competition gets ganked it’s more money in their wallets.

Nice, like the way how you twist everything around.

My reply was disagreeing with you saying that the game had great growth years ago due to more High Sec PvP happening then compared to now.

The numbers have declined due to what I wrote in my reply here. I then added that over the years CCP has buffed PvP game mechanics a lot more than PvE.

Yeah right, go ahead and change it up again. What you mean to say is you disagree with CCP adding more risk to High Sec ganking.

Oh really, if you don’t do any High Sec PvP then why are you constantly whining about it in these forums?

That is absolutely not what I said. Please try to follow the ongoing discussion if you’re going to enter in the middle of it. Darlo/Balos/whatever it calls itself now made the claim that EVE will die if CCP doesn’t remove highsec PvP (which is supposedly a fatal blow to player retention), I pointed out that if this was the case then EVE would not have seen its best growth in an era with more highsec PvP threats. The game did not necessarily have more players and growth because of highsec PvP, but the numbers indisputably prove that highsec PvP is not incompatible with growth and success as Barlowhatever claims.

What you mean to say is you disagree with CCP adding more risk to High Sec ganking.

No, I mean literally removing highsec PvP except for dueling (by consent only). Please try to keep up with the ongoing discussion, as complete removal of suicide ganking is what Barlowhatever demands.

(That said, you can’t add meaningful risk to suicide ganking. You can make it more expensive by decreasing CONCORD response time or buffing freighter HP or whatever, but you can’t stop the gankers from calculating how much firepower they need to automatically kill a ship and applying it.)

Oh really, if you don’t do any High Sec PvP then why are you constantly whining about it in these forums?

Because farmer trash keeps demanding nerfs to smart and competent highsec industrial and PvE players because it is incapable of succeeding if there is any risk of loss. If the farmer trash stops posting then so will I.

BS, how about you take your own advice and keep up with what’s actually said instead of constantly trying to change it in every posted reply. This is what you said:

Anyway, I’m done with you.

Yes, that is what I said. Please try to understand the difference between the following statements:

That’s funny, because EVE had its best growth at a time when highsec PvP was even more common than it is now.

and

That’s funny, because EVE had its best growth because highsec PvP was even more common than it is now.

Anyway, I’m done with you.

Good. Dealing with your lack of reading comprehension and/or general dishonesty is a burden I’m glad to be rid of.

Mirely does make a valid point.

Why should only High and Med Sec systems have to worry about the Triglavians flipping a system sec status to a Low Sec standing?

Null and Wormhole space should come under the same brutal attacks from the Triglavians. More so in Null and Wormhole space.

Making the Null Sec Alliances get out and defend their Sov Systems from the Triglavians/Kybers as well as from other Null Sec Alliances is only fitting.

Having pockets of Null and Wormhole space flipped to Low Sec status would make for very interesting scenarios, just like in High Sec and Med Sec.

Because nullblocks will roflstomp the invasion and just print isk from it and WH dwellers won’t even notice it

Heh, unbelievable. You keep trying to attribute more growth in Eve back then due to highsec PvP being more prevalent in the game compared to now. You’re just plain wrong.

Talk about being dishonest. You’re a lying ganker who constantly trolls players in these forums with your Farmer Trash talk. And when you get called out on your unfounded assertions about the game, you then try to change what you said and immediately dismiss it.

Take your BS rhetoric back to Reddit.

Stop lying. I have explained multiple times that I did not say that, so you no longer have any excuses.

Stop lying. I have never suicide ganked anyone.

It actually isn’t.

Yeah, we all can pull statements like that out of our asses, too. Why don’t you provide some actual example of this?

over the years CCP has reiterated on PvP game mechanics a lot more than PvE.

I would say that the above Is a more truthful statement; which is as it should be, PvP and the associated conflict being the main driving forces of the game.
