I refer you to an answer I gave on another thread …
Not true response at all. Most systems have them now. Any system that has an emerging conduit in it has patrolling rats, regardless of the triglavian invasion or not. The .9s and 1.0s should not have these but they do.
Also, moon sites do get them. They show up to structures and will see the mining fleet and head over to it to start to fight.
There are some 1.0/0.9 systems that do not get conduits, this is fact.
Yeah, that would be the New Player starter systems and also Trade Hub systems.
It’s true that they warp to the mining beacon/structure, but they do not (very rarely in my experience) engage anything in ‘the belt’… you’ve got to be in just the right spot to grab their attention so it is possible to be completely safe whilst mining there.

Hi.
I have also wanted to play Eve Online for a long time. But it passed me right at the beginning. This Scheis invasion cost me two ships. First my Enyo, which was instantly activated, tackled and scrambled … of about 20 ships when I came out of the warp, all in less than 10 seconds …, NO CHANCE BACK IN WARP. BOOM!!!. Nothing was seen on the deep scan, although my system settings are up to date. My Atron felt the same way when I wanted to get out of the system via save points. And all of that, even though the agency said that the Ivasion was over. Super CCP !!! THANK YOU!!! For this ■■■■, I’m not going to extend my Omega status. THE END!!!
I remember something said about Triglavian ships not showing in overview by default, did you fix that?
Stay out of systems that have an Emerging Conduit in them. Also stay out of sansha incursions and FOB systems also.
However, being a new player you’d never know the emerging conduits in your anomaly window is why they are in the system.
exactly, I warped in to pick up items at customs and i couldnt get my hauler out before boom dead. not even a chance at all. Its ■■■■■■■■. They are far far too powerful.
Exactly - they are too strong period
You all are not smart at all … jesus
He won’t save you.
“He won’t save you.” … at least not here in Eve.
So I’ve been passively playing only to log in and make sure skill queue is still well stocked … and I came back with my alts that have been training into various roles.
I’m in a 57k EHP Procurer mining for making my own consumables. Two sansha rats drop on the belt. No worries, I realize they won’t agro the 20 other ventures/procurers or prize pinatas there as they’ll all NPC fodder. I puff my drones out and make quick work of the two rats. Minutes later a pack of 5 rats drop, and one locks me up before I can even release the dogs (err, drones) of war … so I lock two of the closest ones to direct my drones to th… and what is this? These are triglavians frigates… meh, I should be able to handle them … fire up my tank and sick my drones one em … then I see THIS, the f&@kers are spider tanking and reping. There is no way that my drones are going to drop them … so I pull the drones back and watch to see how my 57k tank does … 70%-60%-50% I’m already aligned … 45%-40%-35% - and I warp out… (make it so -> )
Now, my ore hold is only ~40% at this point so not really worth the effort. Jumped into a PvE fitted shell (same system) and warped back to the belt to see just how sassy they are … not only are they gone … but none of the NPC miners have left! They’re mining to their lil hearts content without a care in New Eden. Not exactly a level playing field.
So back the station, back in my barge and out to the same belt … fire up (lasers you sick peeps) and within about 10 minutes, 5 more triglavians!! WTH.
So… for me, and I’ve here since 2009, it’s another extended break. I’ll disable the auto subscription this time around and when the time comes … I’ll reevaluate the state of harassment.
So in the end … yes this may impact the bots … but it also greatly impacts negatively the casual/passive player. If this becomes a discouraging experience, then I make my point with my wallet. We do have options CCP.
Both “problems” you described can be easily handled in a couple of minutes, with minimal disruption to your mining time.
For the NPC miners, simply send your drones to attack one of them just for a single hit, then recall your drones and warp out of there before the response fleet arrives. You’ll have about 15 seconds to get out of there. Warp to a station, wait there for two minutes, then warp back to the belt your were mining in and all of the NPC miners will be gone.
For the Trig patrol, they usually come in a squad of 4. A neut, a remote repper, and the last two will remote rep each other. Make sure your drones are NOT already out when they warp in because they will chew them up in seconds. When you see them warp in, recall your drones, wait for them to attack you first, then deploy your drones. Take out the neut first, then the remote repper, then the last two. Or just simply warp back to a station for two minutes, then go back to that same belt and they won’t even be there.
Yeah, CCP fumbled the ball very badly on that content.
I suggest you forget about mining in regular Asteroid Belts and just concentrate on Ore Anomaly sites. NPC Mining Fleets and Triglavian NPC’s don’t spawn in those, every once in a while a couple of regular Belt rats will spawn which are easily destroyed. You should be able to mine out the entire site with ease.
Just a heads up on the Roaming Triglavian Scout groups, they only spawn in systems that have an Emerging Conduit Anomaly. Can check the Agency for them as well as the ship system scan after entering system. Also check the Agency for systems that have Pirate Strongholds (Forward Operating Base) in them, when present in system, they will spawn an Attack Fleet on you when you land on grid.
@QuakeGod The one problem with your very creative blue pill solution is this was a 5 pack and they were spider repping each other. I quickly calculated, there was no way that my T2 drones (limited by the procurer’s drone bandwidth) were going to pop the first or second drones, let alone before my tank expired. They simply don’t put out enough dps to break one of their tanks before my 57k ehp evaporated. So … solves the bot mining issue, but you also “throw the baby out with the bath water”. Baby pays the bills btw.
What I had been doing prior to this was to mission mining. There are frequently roids in mission grids … stick your transport toon on grid before your toon with the mission turns it in, else it disappears. The one downside is they’re usually just veld, or other very common roids.
Does anyone know that this “campaign” will ever end? Its been here since last summer.
Anyone try to guardian tank a Procurer to give more time to pound on the triglavians or will the Guardian become triglavian fodder as well?
Why would you have to get a T2 logistics cruiser involved? They aren’t that hard to kill. I mine and deal with these Trig patrols every single day. A single Skiff using 5 x T2 Hornets can kill a squad of 4 Trigs before they can even get through my shields, and I don’t even lose a single drone doing it. Two decently tanked Procurers can do the same thing. My Skiff is passively tanked, so the Trig ship that neuts is no problem, but I always kill that one first anyway.
