nah. It is just that the the ānon-consensualā qualification is superfluous and redundant if just by buying some ammo you can find yourself in the receiving end of ānon-consensual PvPā
Some people say that the āI consentā button is mislabeled āUndockā, others say consent is given when you log into the game, truth is that we just firgured out is inevitable.

I agree, but the people who arenāt able to reconcile the fact that there are games out there in which players can fight each other in an environment thatās not a timed, team-based match need this concept broken down into bite-sized chunks for mental processing. Theyāre not bad people, or stupid people; the concept is simply too foreign for them to understand right away. So we need all these well-defined terms to explain the game to them, because otherwise, they will interpret the game for something else entirely.
I see this almost every day, and not just in EVE. In the survival games I play, the aim is literally to scavenge for loot, and either to avoid/escape from other players, or kill them and take whatās theirs in order to continue surviving yourself. And yet sometimes there are people who, upon dying, will start yelling and crying about āgriefersā and āPKersā in the chat, and talking about how all they wanted to do was collect items, etc. etc. And then they need to be explained to that the person who killed them doesnāt know their intentions because all they see is another player with a gun pointed in their direction. They will claim that they were āfriendly,ā and then need to be explained that people will pretend to be friendly and then shoot you in the back the second you turn away. They just refuse to understand the point of the game theyāre playing.
They even do this after coming into the PvP servers of games that have both PvP and PvE servers. Itās nuts.
Ridley, go talk with someone that want to help you, like a friend or a therapistĀØ*, not with those that just posted the comment that triggered your emotional disarrangement . At least not until you are in full control of your emotions.
*strongly advise against a corp mate. A look at your corp description/stats got me depressed.

I think Ridley should just talk to me.
He would feel a lot better if he dunked a few Ventures, maybe even sold them a mining permit, and shot them again. If he keeps going, someday he might even catch a mining Gnosis, and I can just imagine the big goofy smile on his face.

Why donāt we start two new post , one for ganking and the other for anti-ganking, just 2 informative post that can give all the pros and cons of the two play styles, like this post started out to be .
If each side then promises not to troll each others post , you can only counter a comment in your own thread if you so desire.
You can then post all the propaganda and bull for you side you want.
Iām sure there are players out there that want to be gankers too just like we have new player join us but each side often derails each sides post .
Take a look at this thread mostly gankers derail attempts, maybe because they think op is wrong or just trolling . What ever the reason itās hard to find out any facts that are useful.
So how about a truce on just two new post ,one for and one against ganking .

Trolls are nothing without decent people to troll, and so, you can expect no promise to be kept or even made.
The trouble here is that they will disparage other posters with outrageous lies and there will be no defense. It will be hyperfrustrating for those who care about anythingā¦anything at all. Trolls donāt.

Both threads would just became the same discussion twice really, because people would post opinions that others disagree with, and no matter the thread, the discussions will end up as a back and forth, going around the same arguments.
Itās been the same for years.
Maybe your right , my expectations are way to high I expect, which really adds truth to the fact that 90% of people posting for ganking are lying and trolling.

Unfortunately, even keeping the two groups isolated does not result in neutral threads. The bias is still going to shine through (this thread is an example). People, for some reason, become really emotional when it comes to ganking even when itās just playing the game according to itās rules.
Hopefully, newbies are able to just research the underlying game mechanics themselves and make a judgement whether they would enjoy the gameplay.

Unrealistic more than high. No one here, regular or just occasional poster, has any obligation to stick to anything other than the forum rules (and we all frequently donāt do that very well).
Weāre each free to decide for ourselves whatās important and whatās right or wrong; and to respond accordingly.
So trying to set an additional rule/agreement/expectation is always doomed to failure, not because you are wrong, or because anyone else is; but because we all have our own standards and perspectives.
That might be an opinion, coming from a different bias to those in support of ganking, but it certainly isnāt a fact.
Itās as equally true as to replace āforā with āagainstā and itās truth is worth just as much. Nothing.
