I mean, you’re entitled to that opinion i guess
Sigh, you’re not getting the point are you, its not about what they knew before and after, its about maintaining a controlled area of space for them to explore without the actual tutorial system being interrupted, go roll a new character for a faction, see how many places it sends you, then realise what happens if some of those systems or the systems on those routes end up flipping, rocket science this is not, the fact that you cannot see this is the reason you’re never going to fully grasp how complicated this is and that no sane developer would EVER just allow literally any system to be flipped
Again you’re not actually looking at the entire thing properly, and they aren’t going to want to redo the entire NPE for no reason, trigs and EC won’t feature in to the NPE just like sansha invasions currently don’t feature in to them, why FW doesn’t feature in to it etc
So, you agree that the list of systems that can be chosen to be invaded is from a controlled and curated list of systems?
Then you literally just defeated your own point from what i can tell
The in-universe perspective doesn’t mean anything though, CCP isn’t looking at this invasion from the point of view as an RP’er, they are looking at it from the balance and design perspective, as we have already both now agreed on, the list of systems that CAN be invaded was pre-determined and my claims that x system will never be invaded would seem to be accurate, because like i said, despite this being a “sandbox” there still has to be some structure for new players which means having a part of the sandbox that doesn’t get affected by massive scale changes like these
Agree to disagree, you seem to think nothing can affect new players because you seem to think its some “before and after” scenario and clearly haven’t looked at the NPE properly, but again you are entitled to your opinion
I couldn’t really care about the fluff that goes on between ingame factions, none of that is really of any real relevance to me, i only care about what ends up in the patch notes as that is the only part that actually affects people
Nope, but i also still wouldn’t care, the only part that mattered was the actual announcement of the sale, any ingame lore hints about it aren’t really relevant to anything
Prove to me that Jita, Amarr, Pator or any other number of key systems is in the list of systems that can be invaded, its not about gaining points its just a simple fact, NONE of the starter systems will be included in the list, NONE of the career agent systems will be in the list, we both know Jita isn’t on the list and we know that none of the other major trade hubs will be on that list either
So my “point” is that there are systems that will NOT be put at risk, now despite your comments you also know this is actually the case
Except it won’t be, we both know it, none of the key systems fates will ever be left up to players to decide, the only time you’ll get any kind of invasion of somewhere like that will be as a very controlled and entirely scripted event where the outcome was already decided ahead of time
As much as you might want to hope that this is actually entirely random, we both know it isn’t
