Up coming Starter Space

So even the market in the “noob friendly” zone is going to be subject to predatory pricing…

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose

Veterans are also going to be the ones lowballing the newbies on buy orders.

Realistically though what’s the alternative? Newbies aren’t going to know that EVE is a player-driven economy unless they read it somewhere, they’ll just assume the modules on the market are bought from NPCs. If the tutorial tells them they can fly to a trade hub and bring stuff back to sell at a premium to their fellow noobs, they’re just going to be scammed on buying meta modules from sell orders instead.

I will go and see if there actually are unicorns in there like I saw on the picture!

Simple. A completely separate market from the rest of the game, seeded by NPC’s. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out…

Unfortunately, it’s the whole general population that has become this way psychologically. All you need to do is take a trip to your local groceries store or go on a walk around town. These people are now everywhere, and they think they’re the cream of the society.

Well, sorry to say this but I’m not buying CCP/FC’s propaganda / company PR line…

CCP/FC could have easily at any time implemented a pop-up message informing new players that they were basically ‘Safe’ for their first 30 days in Eve…

And ban local in Jita. It’s long overdue…

  1. Do not allow veterans to get there.
  2. The Exordium tradehub will have buy orders for everything that is in loot tables for specified cost calculated from reprocessed materials.
  3. Every item sold to NPC station directly gets automatically listed as NPC sell order for percentual increase of the price it was bought.
  4. Manual buy/sell orders will still be allowed. The above is just a workaround to ensure that everything is accessible on market without anyone having to seed it.

EDIT: Oh @QuakeGod wrote basically the same already. Didn’t notice.

It would be hilarious if everyone in high-sec moved into Exordium for the first few months…

You mean with TiDi and everything until the servers couldn’t handle the load anymore?

What an impression for new players that would be…but i am sure then technical solutions would be implemented that vets can’t enter anymore…

I wasn’t necessarily thinking to that extreme, more like where did all the gank targets and ISK doubling marks go, lol…

The gank targets can hide there…however the isk doublers are forbidden to do their business in Exordium…all scamming is prohibited it seems as of latest GM statements. Final rules pending to be published.

So only real and proven isk doublers may enter…

None of this breaks my heart at all…

Wait a second, sinced when is scamming allowed at all? A friend of mine tried to scam via hypernet. I won’t say exactly how, to not encourage it, but he made about 20 billions in a two weeks of doing this. But then the victims of his scams reported him, a GM messaged him that “scamming is against rules” (I can’t post the exact email since that is conviniently against forum rules) and GM confiscated him all the ISKs on the character involved and even made him go into minus 7b. Since he spent most of the ISK already. Then the GM returned scammed ISKs to the affected players and warned my friend to stop doing this. That happened about 6 months ago.

So hows that scamming is still a thing?

Scamming has been allowed everywhere except rookie starter systems since day one…

Well then can you explain above? The scam was announced in Jita local and Absolute Order corp chat, not in rookie system nor rookie help chat. The item bidded at was also located in Jita.

Oh now I remember, I don’t think it was shady, but they classified it as impersonation, since the scam was copying different, charity, hypernet that was going around in Jita local. He didn’t use same name nor character portrait, but GM still decided it is impersonating. That was the main reason for confiscating ISKs. Sorry, forgot about this detail…

Its always been allowed where its allowed.

Your friend obviously was doing something else shady rather than just ingame scamming?

Oh, that explains everything.

As a side note, if you play the Hypernet, you’re an idiot to begin with and deserve what happens to you…

In the new area? Vets can enter the new space, dock at the stations, and place buy and sell orders?

Yes, it’s not restricted space, just no pvp.

We will see what happens to the trit and pyerite markets in the coming months, as I’m sure FC will as well.
