You cannot play Eve without PVP. Eve is PVP. If you think you’ve found a way to, you’re not actually playing Eve. Everything is PvP. When I put up a market order, I am competing with others to sell my goods. If I go and mine a rock, that’s a) a rock you can’t mine and b) ore that will increase the overall supply and thus reduce the price of those materials. You cannot separate the game from competition between players. Full stop.
1 person is not a whole market, nor is the PVP focused side ever going to lose interest. MMOs are not PVE focused, they are PVP focused and that’s what makes eve so attractable to those who play.
out of 25-30k folks logging in, they aren’t going to listen to 1 or 10 people.

Thousands of data points of cancelations and other engagement ending events outnumber the current EVE user base. CCP has access to these data and I do not.

No thanks. I don’t like limp biskit. That seems like something that might resonate with me if I were a teenager when that kind of music was popular, though. I don’t see how a couple fan music videos have anything to do with whether I get EVE. I’m saying the reason the game has less active users is this cultural obsession with fighting that many more successful games don’t have. It’s pathetic to challenge anyone to a fight over their opinions on a video game and to decide that a person is your enemy based on their video game opinions. My heart is overcome with pity for the person with such terrible priorities.
I have already acknowledged that I am not good at PvP. You are stronger than me. Beating me is not an achievement. I find it troubling that anyone would think it made them look strong to say they are stronger than me. Someone asserting their prowess in such a way against a weaker person doesn’t seem strong.
