Classic non-sequitur, dodging the question you are being asked.
a) “AFK Orca mining” is an overblown myth, as anyone who has actually mined in an Orca will tell you.
b) Even if one is naive enough to believe the claims trotted out that it is a thing, why do you think it is a thing that actually equates to an issue that needs “fixing”?
Afk mining is as simple as scanning 0.5 belt, setup one drone on each asteroid and sit back and either read a book, browse the forum or attend to other game windows.
Sure it might be a overblown myth to think Orca pilots do something like the above between watching local and D-Scan.
That is not Away From Keyboard, that is low attention.
And again, even if someone is doing that, why does it need “fixing”, any more than, say, the ganker scout sat on a gate in Sivala or Uedama who can scan incoming ships when they can be bothered to do so, but otherwise be as attentive or inattentive as they wish?
There is no problem, so there is no need for a fix.
"– Miners should strive not only to avoid botting, but to avoid even the appearance of botting and that Bot-aspirant behaviour is not permitted."
That is the single most important rule only second only to the first being that a mining permit must first be purchased for 100 million isk per character.
Ok, that’s just absurd and totally out of context in this thread and that’s coming from me. I’m off topic all the time but I do it by accident as conversations branch off.
Let’s take a step back and take a look at the bigger picture here shall we?
First up the general feedback that was left a day ago was exactly General feedback even though it was added please and made it as a request before finishing with “This should curb the AFK Mining…”
We need to remember that feedback here is between myself and CCP as the Thread reads General Feedback. Various persons though decided to hey question and yet on this very thread above had been questioned about such feedback ie; "Classic non-sequitur, dodging the question you are being asked.:
I tried to reply with “My observation” thinking that should be enough for someone to understand that it is what it is “General Feedback” Understand?
Right, when a player decides to add their feedback on something that they would like to see change. Does every reason need to be brought forward to explain reason? Just the same as every other bit of feedback though in my case I was very open in the end for my reason and still stand by my reason for making things clear for way I gave my general feedback here yesterday.
Please, make explosions pretty again.
Those sort of pixelated explosion you introduced with this update would probably look “ok” in 2003, but it is a clear downgrade from what it used to be. I always loved to watch things exploded, and now I just can’t wait to warp out.
As a frequent user of Amarrian ships I would like to thank the developer/artist who managed to make Amarrian ships look like a Golden Fleet again, setting them of against the duct taped rust buckets of those who illegally ran away from their rightful masters and who are now feasting in the East and shooting fireworks as if it mattered.
Wow that’s some price increase - Especially since they are worthless. I wouldn’t pay 10 mil, no chance I’d be suckered into paying 100 mil. Oh it’s only in Aiko’s hidey hole Halaima lol.
I just stumbled upon the Expert System menu in the Char sheet… Why is the first page almost completely empty and requires you to do another click to browse the ES?
What is the point of this page? This 2 lines of text could be at the top of the next page that lists the available ES.
