Sometimes behaviour of an API and SDK changes, and noted in MSDN or whatever docs they present, and said assumption of API usage goes awol. Sometimes people don’t read API docs or notifications of changes, or quirks and workarounds stop working and cause unintended behaviour.
We’re sorry to hear that. Have you tried verifying your shared cache?
You can do this by opening the launcher settings (small cog in the top right) > Tools/Cache > Shared Cache > Verify
If this doesn’t resolve your issue, please submit a support request and we will get back to you.
Noticed all the hardwires dissapeared from the CONCORD LP store, didnt find anything about it in the patch notes so assuming this wasnt planned?
Patch notes, lol, I got 2 days of 300 MB downloads and not a single changelog for either. But they did tell us about Quasar and Apple Mac PR lol.
As for today’s patch, who knows what mystery that contains.
Does it fix the Linux launcher?
just tried logging in this morning thinking that the morning patch might have fixed it all but it did nothing when i try to load a toon it frezzes my entire system
Space iz cald.
same here i switched back to dx9 and prob went away till theres a fix
Aw man, I’m dead in the water here. EVE Anywhere was my last hope but the mouse thing is stopping me there… and there are goodies to claim too. I assure you, I have very little life and would be claiming those on all 5 accounts if I could (though It looks like I now have a 6th thanks to steam. Oh well, I’m not gonna mess with that one).
Though, it is nice to see a problem affecting me actually be recognized on the sticky. Honestly I’m betting the Wine/Proton folks will have a fix for the main client problem soon enough, but it sucks to be locked out of presents.
That will end the game for those on Proton 5.0-10 and frozen releases that are not updated. Later versions of Proton won’t launch on some Linux installations, Mint specifically which is quite popular.
The extended black screen seems to be caused by the refresh rate issue (where the refresh rate is lowered when multi-tasking back into the game client). Essentially, the desktop refresh rate is different from the game client refresh rate when this issue triggers, similar to when game resolution is different to the desktop native resolution, which also causes an extended black screen.
We’re currently investigating a solution for both issues and planning to fix it for a future patch. I can’t give a timeline just yet, but they are priority issues.

what of the launchers that are freezing ? lot of people cant get into game at all and have lots of omega accounts
The workaround did not work. Other player already mentioned that in the forum. Please CCP help us! Thanks!
What’s with the random disconnects affeting the AU-TZ people? All my crew have logged off for an early night, cause they do not want to loose their stuff to disconnects.
The local cloaky camping bots ( who look to have figured out how to cheat the mobile observatory ) seem unaffected.
Anyone else AU-TZ having issues?
The color for the Location in contract details is still broken for 0.5 systems. I filed the bug report EBR-218765 in May which was closed without further details. I have opened a new bug report EBR-225166.
I hope that you don’t close this again without addressing the problem.
Yes! I am having the same problems! I believe it has to do with their new graphics enhancement. I normally run in Full Screen mode. However, the resolution is off even though my graphics card, monitor, and game client are listed at the same resolution. This only happens when I switch between omega clients or navigating away from the client (e.g, looking at a webpage). If I switch from Full screen to Fixed Windowed my resolution issues appear resolved but my frame rate drops to about 8fps and my latency goes to over 100ms.
I believe this is potentially being caused by the graphics card having to switch and reanalyze the client instead of the client providing the information automatically. I also think the fix could be by either, CCP returning to the old method, or CCP placing the ability to toggle between fixed client resolution setting or the system’s default resolution setting so that the user could choose which is best for their system. Sadly, as it stands right now, the game is basically unplayable. It also should be noted that this problem began when this version was released.
When will this cosmetic issue be fixed?
Hey Zoiie, are you in the same boat as the rest of us and unable to play, or are you just here fighting the good fight for the rest of the Linux folks, and if it’s the latter, how’d you get yours to work? That exchange were you tore into the guy about Windows 8.1 being almost dead had me thinking to try to go for windows 10 instead of 7 in the wine config, but that didn’t change anything for me. Pleasepleaseplease, I 'm fiending for some green apple quafe.
I copied the launcherdarkly pyd file from my shared cache into the tq folder and it worked, I locked down that file and kept a copy of it just in case. I am on Proton 5.0-10. Later Proton’s won’t work for me and Wine killed my VM during evaluation so, I must have it to work on Proton 5.0-10.
This sounds like dark, eldritch space magics I’m probably better off not tampering with. (cracks knuckles and flips open necronomicon)
Just copy it across, it wasnt there in the first place, an alternative may be to symlink it to the shared cache version.
