Version 20.10 - General Feedback

Why does my Nightmare has tiger holograms around it? Can I disable them somehow? They are not tied to the SKIN

Somehow CCP managed to make China server skins appear on TQ.

To not be only negative:
The exclusion of Alphas in regard to suicide ganking is appreciated.
There was basically no investment needed into putting out stupid amounts of damage before that change.

but flashing 1-3 times would be enuff… have it constantly flashing is just another example
of the RedDot Massacre.
If this is cause every Mobile System has a Dot / Banner / Flickering stuff, to tell you that there is
something “New” - and CCP feels the need to design their Stuff like everybody else does…
Remeber that old sentence from Your Grandma:
Just because Everybody is jumping out of the Window — Would You too ??

and btw: at least in NeoCom I can switch blinking off…

Depnds on many many variables.

But if the building was on fire, Id consider it.

Though I agree, there’s too much flashing going on.

same thing on the Enforcer… has now some freaking pink gaswaves coming out of it. not skinrelated just suddenly there and not matching the ship / theme of the ship no idea wtf they are for

macOS client. Ship spinning is broken.

Unless my Rapier is now a capital and has the capital camera problems in a Keepstar.

I don’t know. I didn’t look at the char for a few minutes and only saw the blinking Probe tab later. I’d have missed it if it had not been blinking all the time.

You can turn the tab blinking off just like with the icons in the neocom. There is no soft solution like “3 blinks and then stop” in either case.

You call an increase in GPU temp, from 25c to 90c, in less than 5 minutes of game play, a little? Yikes!

Same here, in fact, within 5 minutes of game play my GPU temp spikes at 90c and shuts down my video feed… What a brilliant way to stop people from playing lol

I Said I had a little Increase, clearly you are ■■■■■■.

This is another issue. I am playing with 3 accounts in UHD with max. settings. No heating issues.

Only the session change is bridged with an animation. What should be optionally possible to turn off is the docking motion graphics with sound.

I entirely agree

Why are we allowed to accept multiple Paragon agent missions per day?
As soon as you hand in one, all the others disappear.
Now I have a bunch of ships I don’t need.
Thanks for that.

I’m sure I’ll eventually be able to hand all those ships in over the next few days but we shouldn’t be able to accept multiple missions from Paragon.

I, for one, am experiencing extremely long load times on undocking, sometimes to the point of “Black Screen of Death” level requiring a restart of the client.

This is scary as hell and irritating as hell in a quiet system and would almost certainly be deadly in a major system like Jita.

CCP you spend too much time and effort on what you think is “sexy sh1t” and not enough on things like basic STABILITY.

We want a stable game that doesn’t disconnect willy nilly and otherwise leave us unable to play or worse “dying” horribly through not fault of our own.

This is that “Better looking = Better game” Brisc was talking about last year.

Pretty doesn’t equal good.

Halo (the original) is (GASP!) older than EVE and the graphics show it, but the gameplay and story line remain one of the most epic PC games ever.

Many of the more recent Call of Duties are trash compared to earlier less pretty versions.

I’m cool with pretty. When I was watching the Uprising trailer, I was thinking if you could make the game look and run like that, which I think is technically feasible, CCP would be back to the glory days of logins and rank in the dough.

The new docking animation isn’t big or loud enough. Pls make it more of everything so my neighbours across the street can tell that I am safely back in station.

Apologies, but there’s no way to say it nicely - the new turret sounds are awful.

I can’t hear enemies firing weapons at all. That would be fine, except:

I can’t rely on the sounds of the actual bullets hitting my ship, because they also sound off when I’m being missed entirely, except when they are not and they go by in complete silence, which seemingly no logic around it.

On top of that, the miss sound and hit sound are the exact same.

On top of that, all the new sounds are incredibly thin, tinny, high pitched and overall it seems like someone asked for bass frequencies and you said “we have bass at home” and at home you had a sheet of corrugated steel.

On top of that your own turret sounds are incredibly faint even when zoomed in close, and instantly masked by any sound of hit (or miss) of an enemy’s weapons on your ship.

So overall:

  • If I’m being fired on but missed, it might play absolutely nothing and sound is giving me no information i can rely on.
  • If I’m being fired on and hit, it sounds the same as when a shot just whizzes by and sound is giving me no information I can rely on.
    • I can’t rely on sound to know if I’m being hit or not, fired on or not, sound is giving me no information I can rely on.
  • I can’t rely on sounds to know if my guns are firing or out of ammo or whatever, sound is giving me no information I can rely on.
  • It feels like by the time I age 5 more years or so all of the new sounds will be outside of my hearing range
  • All the new sounds are tinny and unpleasant and lacking in depth
