Cross that someone saw fit to swap the positions of the Inventory contents summary and the Loot All button. I always have inventory bottom right, and now the notification button hides it… be nice if I could swap the damn things.
Most of the folks I talk to have no issues with the new UI. I have had one person DM me with a complaint about the new UI. Normally on patch day I have a dozen angry messages, but almost nothing today.
Other than the handful of random dudes who have made this their own personal crusade, the vast majority of the player base has already been using the new UI and today wasn’t that big a deal for them. As CCP noted, 94% adoption rate (yes, largely because it was made default) means most people have seen it before today. The ones who haven’t are, obviously, angry, as they were the last time the UI was updated.
There are a lot of good posts in this thread with specific feedback on things the UI team needs to address, and I will be doing my best to make sure those concerns are heard.

Those points have been made for more than four months now. You sweetly assured people that you were confident they would largely be fixed before forced migration today. They were not.
What people have quite reasonably be arguing is that Photon was not ready for forced implementation. CCP did not listen, and you did not listen. That is why people are angry, and I am sorry but you are not doing yourself any favours right now by pretending everything is better, in the face of all the “random dudes” telling you it is not.
If your measure of successful rollouts is the number of grumpy DMs sent to you, you really need a new, less self-centred, metric old fruit.
Even Dyver admits that a number of the things that were on his list of stuff to get fixed got fixed in today’s patch. Yes, there is still more work to do, and the team has said they will still do it. I don’t know why anybody is arguing that the team isn’t going to keep fixing things when they’ve made a significant number of changes to Photon since it was first introduced last year. They have clearly been iterating - there were changes in literally every patch.
I don’t care whether you think I’m “doing myself any favors.” I am tough but fair when it comes to CCP, and if I thought they’d blown it here, I’d be saying so. I don’t think they have. I know you disagree, and that’s fine, but the reality is the vast majority of players have already been using Photon, so today was not a big deal for them.
I’ve been doing this for four years, and yes, I measure how messed up a CCP release is by how many people complain to me directly. I got more complaints the last time ESI went down than I did today.

Actually, he has a 5k monitor and does not understand why we all do not. He proudly put up screen grabs to show that he does not have a Photon problem, so no one else should…
Then it shouldn’t have been implemented forcefully and not giving us the option to switch back to the old one, until this one is properly ready to be used.
I wish I had a 5k monitor. I have one 49 inch Odyssey G9, and three 27 inch 4k monitors.
This is EVE. Almost everybody has multiple monitors. Hell, I know guys that travel for work with an extra monitor for their laptops.
It was in Beta for a year, and folks had a year to get used to it before they made it permanent. If they waited until it was perfect, it would never get implemented.

I don’t care how much it will take them. This is affecting my vision and you simply don’t forcefully impose such things to a customer without giving the option to revert back. Such practices we see in Russia or China. Maybe they should develop for some companies in there.
I am playing the game right now. Trying to get this rubbish UI to do something approaching what I could do with the old UI.
No, I do not go to Eve meets, because this is just a game, and why would I waste time and money going to some nerdfest? I actually have a life and do not rely on Eve for the gratification of my ego.

Better before… more visible, sleek, compact… And all they need to do is compact thing… simple… just over thir head apparently. and CSM, somone that should represent players, whatever thir posiition is… not on players side. classic…
