Version 23.01 - Legion - General Feedback

It’s now possible to swap between the Male and Female body models using a Pilot’s Body Resculpt Certificate available from the NES.

Interesting. This should give gender doubting people a good recourse to aleviate their pains.

Now CCP really just needs to do something about the dismally slow NES.

Another ‘balance patch’ and the zkill guide to the bellicose ages like wine.

Leaving the raven navy issue as the last battleship that can fit all 8 highs with a weapon? Might as well just replace the vargur with it as the model at this point.

Only like 20 years to late eh ?

The Abaddon, Apoc also have 8 weapon slots.

Why are we having to go RED safety to use Bastion

It has to be a bug,

I can imagine that it is meant to entice people to attack the pesky MTU robbers, but it would definitely go contrary to the “More Capsuleer Safety in High Sec” bullet points in these Patch Notes.

I can confirm Bastion module runing in HS needs safety settings red

Rokh as well

Dear CCP Games, activation of the bastion module now requires setting safety to red, but somehow no word about this in a patch notes for 2025-09-09.1. What the hell!? QA was sleeping and did not performed basic function tests of changed ships and modules or some changes were intentionally not disclosed for some reason? If this change (I dare to say- fundamental one) was made by intent, then why it is not described anywhere!? What else ‘non-essential’ is left undocumented?

QUIT
TOUCHING
METENOX
For real, STOP.
You are nerfing them beyond what is practical for any smaller group.

And get ready for all the hate from drone boi’s

Some of the Updates are epic and much needed…. others feel like you are very disenfranchised from your own game……
Try touching wardec mechanics, or Logi on kill mails, or Tech 2 carriers, or pick some other long term glaring issues.

Vargur nerf is too strong. Fall-off seems random the nerf is too much as its breaking its use case for everything else that isn’t ESS issues.

There were better ways to deal with the triple xlasb. You could have limited it to two max for maraurders which would force people to use a regular shield booster in addition if they wanted a silly tank while making them vulnerable.

Imo it would have been better to split the bastion module to make the role it plays to the hull for when bastion is active. That way you could have sorted armour overrep out for the armour tanks, managed the triple xlasb by nerfing the max fit of the module to two and left the shield rep bonus and falloff alone on the shield ships.

Its a little more work, but would give you more room for tweaking in the future.

You need more elegant solutions otherwise the next meta will just shift to triple+ armour rep maraurders ready for the sledgehammer.

There’s too many muppets in the game that don’t/won’t realise that no matter which class, or ship they nerf, there’s always another waiting in the wings to become the next meta.

There always is, there always will be and it won’t stop until it’s gone full cycle and every single ship in the game has been nerfed.

Disband the CSM, stop hiring “content creators” and break up the null blocks permanently and kick cyno’s out of the game, or heavily restrict them.

Because every single nerf is a result of the above, and it’ll continue to be.

I’ve been playing for over 13 years and this crap is getting worse and worse for those of us who have zero interest in null.

According to a statement by an ISD in the help chat, this is probably not intentional. The more people who post a bug report now, the faster it should be fixed.

BTW, at the moment, it “only” requires Safety Red to be activated. After switching on the Bastion module, you can immediately switch back to green and the module will continue to run.

You might have to do some scrolling. Its not the best layout, but the info is there.

Isn’t it fun?
They can’t fix ESS sites so they just screw over Vargurs across the entire game.

If Minmatar don’t have agility and falloff, WTF is it they’re supposed to have again?

Another meta will come along to exploit the stupid ESS sites and the only thing they will have accomplished is screwing up a perfectly good ship.

Bringing to your attention

The change of armor rig drawback from speed to agility removed the align time advantage of many gallente frigates and destroyers. Especially the Eris´ ship bonus of up to 100% armor plate mass penalty reduction was devalued.

Don´t know if that was intentional.

Wow, I completely forgot about that. DSTs with armor rigs now have a ridiculous align time. ~22 seconds with T2 Trimarks on the Impel. That’s almost as bad as a freighter. This kinda of makes training the Advanced / Armor Layering skills mandatory.

I did not fully digest the armor changes

they just haphazardly reset armor plate fundamentals completely. no way any of these changes were thought out to their conclusions across the various hulls.

now i understand why we have a new mandatory fundamental armor skill thrown into the works 22 years post-launch

What QA? Why would they pay employees to test their game when players will do it for free?

90% of the patch is really really good. Finally CCP showed some understanding for how the game is actually played and what real problems are. Looks like they really listened to community feedback for once…

10% has gone a bit too far imho, especially ESS ban for Marauders and Vargur Falloff nerf.
