As far as I’m concerned the above is a massive issue, not only for myself, but it should be for anyone considering voting for anybody serving on the current CSM.
If they can’t be bothered posting here and using these forums they’re a waste of time.
I don’t care about your discord/youtube/twitch/reddit channels.
This is the official forum, this is where you post your application, this is where you put why players should vote for you all, then you all f*** off for a year..
Mike Azariah has given updates all year in these forums besides his Youtube channel, despite not even being on the CSM, most of you haven’t made a single post.
Yet you think you deserve to be re-elected?
Maybe I should campaign to get those who failed to interact in these forums banned from ever standing again?
Maybe I should campaign to get the CSM abolished?
Because as it stands it’s a waste of time and just provides a free holiday for those elected.
So should half the other CSM members…the forums just aren’t used by the majority of the player base. It’s mostly trolls and players answering any new player questions. The community is in various discord channels, in game, and streams.
And what about the CSM members who failed to interact on Discord? And those that failed to interact on Reddit? Youtube? Tiktok? Or whatever it is new players use nowadays?
I’m pretty sure most if not all CSM members interact with players somewhere, whether that’s in the game or one of the many social platforms the players of this game use.
Unfortunately the forums aren’t used that much by players, so why should it be used much by the CSM?
Dujek is a standard nullbloc candidate for the Imperium he doesn’t give a crap about anything that doesn’t benefit that group. Why would you expect him to engage with anyone else?
Mike is also clueless when it comes to the game he isn’t useful as a standard to hold people to.
Oh I agree with you about Dujek. He is there to do what the Goonswarm wants.
Can not agree about Mike though. He does engages with players. Maybe not the way you would like or see as useful.
Still given the choice between Mike and one of the current CSM members. Mike has a good history as a CSM of not ignoring players. Of not sitting on the CSM as though it were some sort of golden perch. Deigning to interact with lowly players when needing a vote to stay on the CSM.
The first year I played a lot of CSM members were active and talking with players. This year I have not seen here or on reddit any CSM talking with players. Maybe I missed those posts.
They have been on both Reddit and in Discord. I know I see Oz and Drake post about the MER every month, I’ve also have seen YP2 on Reddit, though he uses a different name there. The null block CSM I fully expect to be active within their alliances’ communication areas or they would not be running with their backing.

they are all begining to wake up, it’s time for them to represent you
Forum activity is not an indicator of how active and communicative a CSM candidate is, nor should it be. Discourse about EVE happens in many different places, with the official EVE Discord being more active these days. Many of the CSM 19 members can be found there, and likewise are very receptive to feedback and discussion there. They’re also tagged on our Discord to more easily identify them throughout the year, and there are dedicated channels setup to facilitate those conversations just as there are here. But if the EVE Discord isn’t your thing, you can also find them in-game and on the various community servers that they’re in.
When we start CSM elections, we want to have a central repository and standardized platform for people to be able to find information about a candidate - which is why we ask the campaign threads to exist here. Many will go on to interact with players in game, on Discord, in podcasts and livestreams, etc - but we want to ensure everyone has at least a stable baseline.
Hope that provides the insight you’re looking for.
I for one can’t believe that Dujek is only active in the communities for wormholes, Pochven, lowsec, NPSI blops, tournaments, new players, and Brave. I demand that CCP provides enough Dujek for everyone in the class!
I don’t think any of the null candidates are ever going to beat the allegations of being null candidates, and not much I have to say will change that. Neither Goons nor my own organization give me marching orders. In terms of what affects nullsec that comes up on the CSM, all the CSM talk together about most things. because at the end of the day, it is often us trying to convince CCP of changes for the betterment, and no singular null bloc will get anything done alone, nor will null vs other groups either.
This year all the CSM at the summit agreed on many things, it really isn’t as full of internal fighting based on who lives in what area of space as people who post would have us believe.
I am also on discords for wormholes, pochven, lowsec, faction warfare, highsec sigs and am reasonably active in all of them, and keep myself updated on current affairs. I also have lived in wormholes the entirety of the time I have been active playing eve, and I care deeply about other areas of space other than just null.
Regardless - it might be fair criticism that a lot of the CSM candidates don’t use the official forums that much, but I do have notifications on - I respond to any and all direct messages I get here, in game, on reddit, on discord (in any of the 30+ eve discords I am on), by email, in person at fanfest, on slack, in local. If anyone was claiming they tried to get a hold of me and failed I would absolutely look to change that, but I am very active as a CSM candidate.
Hey mate! Just to be clear I’m not making an excuse for any of the CSM, or anyone in the community for that matter, for not being active on the forums. Dujkek, along with the rest of CSM 19, have been very active in conversations both with CCP and with the community. More explaining how you can expect to get in touch with CSM, where they are most active, and why it’s not the forums.
