Warzone extraction info/thread

Agency UI on the character select screen: Look for a small arrow to the right of the words “Current Event” - click to hide the event info.

It has to stay on the character select screen, because players have complained that they missed other cues about previous limited-time events. Game designers also have to think about how to help new players find content, with every feature they build, and this style of event which can offer a variety of tasks, also needs to offer the most help.

I must be very unlucky, then again I got lots of empty site yesterday.

It doesn’t persist and even if it did they’d probably reset it per event. It serves no purpose (other than to showcase a terrible design) and needs to be gone.

It already exists in the task list there’s no excuse for spamming the login screen.

But that reminds me that I forgot a point:

Agency progression is by account not by character

Every other MMO I’ve played dailies were a per-character feature. If I’ve put in the effort to get my alts to the point where they’re capable of running the missions then they should be equally compensated should I choose to run the missions again. The only compensation that the Agency gives my alts is an excuse not to play.

@CCP_Dragon Got any comments on the unintended lore/RP ramifications/crisis the trinaries have cause that won’t just go away if all the trinary relics suddenly go poof? The can of worms was opened, the lid cannot be put back on so easily.

Also, I’m really enjoying the sites, it’s helped me engage some of my newer corp members with decently difficult PVE in an accessible way for small groups.

If there’s a problem with aggression not switching as much as it should, it will make some low/null pvp’rs very happy. Because hunters have made bitter complaints about too much switching in other situations. Just when they find some “content,” their tackle ship gets web/scram/neuted, and the targeted player warps off. “Thanks CCP!”

There’s a live stream right now about warzone extraction according to a pop-up in game. Can someone fill us in if any info comes out thats relevant?

How do you get multiple spawns out of these. Just did it with two friends and we only got one spawn of about 5. I did one solo this morning and had three spawns of 8. Kinda inconsistent no?

I’d be happy if the “hide” option persisted for the length of the event, but it would have to reset between events, because developers keep changing stuff due to our feedback, and would like players to see the new event’s splash screen at least once.

I have no opinion if points should be awarded per character or account. But I wanted to call out the word “dailies” some posters have been using. I don’t want EVE to become too much like other MMO’s. These limited time events are great because they are limited, and (sometimes, this event included) provide some unique gameplay and hopefully unique loot (Valkyrie skins) that won’t be offered again. (Hopefully.)

A daily login enticement of 10,000 sp for shooting any one NPC anywhere, called the “Thrill of the Hunt” was pulled last year, after one month and considerable forum arguments.

After running a few more sites today, they definitely feel more approachable. A few things I noticed about the event:

1 - There is absolutely no incentive to complete a site (grab the relic and give it to the quartermaster) after the first one of the day. Nothing to be gained, at all versus keeping the relics to hand out the following days for easy agency points.
2 - Warp in, hand in a relic from a previous site, beacon vanishes so you don’t have to compete with others on a site for kills/loot, seems like a better tactic than the “proper” way of completing sites.
3 - It feels like sleepers are actually hard to come by? Checking out wrecks that turn out to be empty is kind of disappointing. Even a small spawn with little rewards would give something to kill while on the way to the next wreck.

Overall though, I’m having more fun in this even than in the previous one and today is much better than yesterday, so well done on that!

… these safeguards are really insane, had 2 in the site, was able to kill 1 in 12min. Upholder is OK, but the safeguards … please nerf (at least remove the point).

Well I kill them faster but still, sites are losing momentum, they are just slow to do and yet not that hard.

Does the station within the site count as a possible spawn generation object? ie, like alpha, etc.

I think I’d like them less tanky but more deadly, the dps is pathetic.

Ok not funny 1/3 of my sites are bugged, no spawns.

Only one so far without sleepers, but all with relic. Sadly no accelerator yet.

Not a bug, you can get the relic without any sleepers ever spawning.

Anybody know the ship type with the acc drop mentioned by Dragon? I didn’t pay attention yesterday …

My apologies you are correct … I thought that as long as the site dropped a relic it was not “empty” and that lack of sleepers was a valid site.
