Warzone extraction info/thread

Whilst those who live in quiet pockets of low and null, with intel and support, might choose to do that, the time these take to do, is very different from the previous “jump in blap, and out” events. You are far too exposed for far too long, for it to be practical outside of HS. That’s probably why.

because you are easy target, pointed, webbed and sucked dry.

The main problem are the multiple battleships which point and neut you and which take forever to kill solo… tone them down, for example just remove Safeguards from the spawns completely, the Upholder is fine (it doesn’t point you, iirc). Not sure if this is enough, but it sounds easy and would already help a lot with balance. @CCP_Dragon?

Is this still the case? Or was it fixed?

It seems pretty unacceptable to me to expect customers to constantly update their overviews as new events unfold. Most players can’t be bothered and rely on third parties to manage their overview settings, which are terribly convoluted to begin with.

it did get fixed, pretty fast actually, but the fact it made it into live like that is pretty bad

What’s the point of these timers? To stop people having fun?

@CCP_Dragon are you aware there are 21 active warzone extraction beacons in Sazilid and 11 in Shenda?

Both systems are in a 0.5 pocket in lowsec, people probably don’t clear them and you’re spawning them randomly in highsec systems without a limit on concurrent active spawns per system?

Cheers,

WTF??
Thatswhy i cant find any sites. After 10+ jumps in highsec i found only 1 warzone site, but there were already 2 ppl in it.

I have had no luck with this event so far. I did 8 sites, 3 of them didnt have any sleeper spawns, 2 1 spawn, 3 2 spawns. Total loot like 70 mil. I can earn more with lvl4 missions …

Well, I’ve only done around 10 or 12, but combined they netted far less than one solid level4 mission for me.
Perhaps RNGesus has forsaken me, but I’m having to salvage while doing them to make any sort of “profit” .
I’ll keep trying but unless things start dropping more frequently, I’m heading back to exploration and missioning.

10 more jumps, 2 warzone sites, both had ppl in them. It seems like everyone and their gandma are doing these sites now. Ill wait a few days until the craze has cooled down.

That’s how the Cosmic Signatures works.

After you close one signature/site, another one will spawn into RND system in current Constellation or Region. After many similar operations are performed, statistically they will stack in few systems.

This trick works well in SOV space, as I noticed, - H-Sec explorers travelling long distances to clear all the best sites in Region, as a result will spawn same type of signatures in some dead end pocket systems well populated by alliance members after that. Dinner is served!

This trick is performed in WH space by those habitants in two options:

  • to make money, as is explained referred to SOV space;
  • to trap explorers. Players will explore and close all Data/Relic sites in current WH constellation. In their home WH system they will close all Relic sites except one. In that Relic site they will put an ALT stealth AFK ship just to exactly bookmark a spot for a hot-drop Sabre or other kind of jammers, followed by assault ships.

Maybe it’s time to change this mechanic after this example?

Good luck on your low sec route to Shenda, Its often camped by LS with carriers. :smirk:

In regions like pure null or hisec its true, but Aridia is lowsec region with hisec islands, how sites are distributed in such examples?

True, I lost my Stratios there some time ago.

I can confirm the stacking mechanics between same security systems. IDK about the distribution mechanic between security systems, but I think that distribution is different.

Confirmative!

The most gate camps happens in FW L-Sec Regions.

But,I have to confirm, Aridia is among the most dangerous L-Sec Region in EVE. I didn’t met so many players in any other EVE region as in Aridia, which wish to catch you so much.

Someone followed me like 7 systems by pre-scanning and bookmarking all signatures in system I was.

Another one offered me:

  • He. Look, mate, I want to leave this system and I have some docked ships which I don’t need. I want to give you my ships. You can dock at the station and take all… and long … long conversation;

  • Me. No, thanks.

Seems like less people run the sites, found plenty uncontested in The Forge tonight.

I would assume that the spawning mechanism work for an entire region which would include HS and LS (HS, LS, NS might have separate pools) so those Pocket system might still be drawing from the same pool

Since the Non Pocket HS system see a lot of traffic the sites in those areas are run very quickly, but the ones in pocket system don’t get run and slowly the sites build up. All it takes to fix things is to run the sites in those systems and they will be returned to the pool.

sweet jeebus…

Aridia is populated by crazy Russians. I had one Russian who camped me for 24 hours straight, system to system, just so he could kill my shitfit Gnosis.

Ok, I give up. The drop rate for cerebrals are far too low. I don’t care about ISK, if I did my usual stuff I would have 10 times more than I had doing event sites, which btw can’t be done in a fast ship within 1 minute. Expire date for cerebrals is 3 weeks above agency end date so there won’t be value drop. I can’t even farm them for personal use not to mention to trade them. I’m aware of RNG but it is time event, not regular stuff. I got 1 cerebral (sic!) after countless sites.
