What are we doing here?

Is that the new Eve miner expansion called ‘Leave Me Alone I’m Watching Netflix’ ?

I thought it’s called What is fairplay Aiko don't gank me no more expansion. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

EvE already has this.
In high sec concord punishes hostile actions after the fact.
Not so in low sec or null sec.
I have to question your experience in the game if you don’t understand this.

The counter is to proactively not be a target. Fit a tank, watch local, dscan, don’t autopilot, fly with logi. It really is this simple.

I had a pilot killed mining in high sec over the weekend. It was my own fault for being greedy over an empire boarder rare asteroid spawn and multi boxing three miners at the same time hoovering up all that tasty, rare ore. I was off loading with one pilot, not watching local when someone snuck up on another pilot.

The rules don’t need to be changed because I was being greedy and flying three accounts at once, and not paying attention. (Besides I made much more money than the venture was worth grabbing that yitrium, so I have nothing to cry about)

Well, the funny thing is that people think “HighSec” is something like a Supermarket and you only need to behave yourself and then you can go aaaaaanywhere and just grab whatever you want and no one should mess around with you. But they somehow didn’t read the description of the game. It is a SPACE SIM, you are out there alone digging for valuable stuff. Imagine going to Namibia, placing a fat sign into the ground “BIG DIAMONDS HERE” and start shoveling, will you last a week? Probably not, someone will come, shoot you (or worse) and searching all your stuff for the big diamonds. And leave you to rot afterwards. All the big mining companies hire protection out there. They have armed guards they PAY. They survey the surrounding. They bribe politicians and militias. Anyone thinking he can just venture out there and grabbing “free stuff” has simply a very bad business plan and it is no wonder he ends up on the lower end of the food chain.

Oh no, that sounds terrible! We need to protect the diamond miners in Namibia. Those griefer militias can’t get away with this! Let’s form a group, and go there and protect the poor diamond miners for free.

But aren’t the majority of HS gankers CCP engineers & GMs?

Why would they want to kill the CCP cash cow of getting new players and then greifing them so they spend more $ on PLEX?

I’m pretty sure non of them plays EVE anymore. They just LARP as EVE players

Wow, you actually think that they set new players up to lose so they buy PLEX to get their ships back? This sounds like an incredibly dumb theory, but I’m sure I’m missing something, please explain how you arrived at that gigabrain hypothesis.

Yes, and this is good. I was arguing against the idea of removing highsec, not arguing that highsec should be perfectly safe. Please read what I actually say.

There is no way in Eve to avoid interacting with other people. Even buying ammo and selling loot is interacting with other people. Direct PVP is not the only interaction possible, and even that happens in highsec - you’ve got ganks and you’ve got wars when you want to assert yourself by plopping down structures. Nobody is saying you should be able to avoid interacting with other players.

I’m not even in highsec for what it’s worth. I do all my stuff in lowsec, wormholes and null because that’s what I enjoy. I just don’t insist that everyone else should do what I do.

Then what’s the problem ? Or is this one of those endlessly circular ’ I didn’t say that’ threads ?

@Zaera_Keena Those mind twisting imagery games are of no match as we are the Frostpacker, high expectations are futile.
null-pvp

rule #1: never undock what you can’t afford to replace. Don’t they teach that in nullsec any more?

The half-billion tayra and the 2 billion mammoth definately count as obvious gank-baits, you were asking for it.
Fitting advice: the prototype cloaking device is useless for anything but waiting in a safepot. Fit the improved cloaking device II instead and learn the cloak-and-microwarp trick. If the CPU requirements mean you can fit less carohold mod in your lows or rigs, so it be.

All ganks happened near gates, so i suppose they already scouted and cargoscanned you some systems before you jumped into Jita.

Highsec is the most densely populated space in all 4 empires, you can bet we also have the highest density in dedicated criminals here. Ganker go where the loot is, and careless haulers like you make highsec more dangerous for every more sensible hauler, too, just by providing the gankers with valuable loot. I mean, what the hell were you thinking putting two Ishtars and a Gila into a max-cargo-zero-tank Tayra?

… which is highsec hauling.
