What capsuleers think about this COVID-19 thing?

You posted an article that’s a week old on conditions in Sweden, a country that hasn’t reached peak infections yet. Sadly, look how much the situation has already changed in only one week…

From your own quote, deaths were at about 400 in Sweden, however, depressingly, now that has more than doubled to 1000 in only one week, in a country of only 10 million people. California, USA with a population of 40 million people, and where the virus started taking hold at the end of February, has a death toll of under 800. Either California is doing something really right or Sweden is doing something really wrong, or maybe a bit of both. And neither is doing as well as South Korea…

You go through such a long roundabout way of trying to say you are fearful of authoritarians using the epidemic as a means to take over. Why not just start with that as your premise?

There have been quite a few news articles about such concerns, and yes, if you live in a country without strong democratic safeguards, you should be concerned. And that’s where it’s up to locals to take up activism whenever the time proves right.

In countries with strong democratic safeguards, people should still be wary, but should feel fairly assured that their systems will work. If their democratic institutions survived the worse epidemic of the Spanish Flu, then they should survive this one. Liberals, moderates, conservatives in these countries always have their freedoms on the back of their minds, even if they don’t say it out loud. But most of us see any sort of restrictions as just temporary. So we are ok with it for now, but will become very vocal if we see any long term threats to our freedoms. So for now, just friggin listen to the medical experts!!

We should make plans for what those who can go out should do,
such as, organize grocery deliveries for everyone who can’t go out, and so on.

Also, when people go back , out of lockdown, what way is best to solve the problem then.
It won’t be like before, even though systems are already in place.

My business is not lockdown sensitive, meaning, it is still essential, and functioning while in lockdown.
Most businesses aren’t, even the courts are not, and most insurance also are not.

The army still works too although medical staff do have authorities to restraint people.

Even though people in lockdown can be a public health problem, people not in lockdown can be a greater public health problem, even if they are more crazy.!

There’s also another possibility, which is that essential workers who go to work are asymptomatic, and , spread the disease in the food, even though the virus cannot copy itself without living cells and a brain, and infect those people in quarantine, lockdown, even though, those ones are not infected.

I know this is not the case, but if it was, it would take some living cells to make it happen.
This is usually where and when someone comes in and tries to impose their unreasonable view about unscientific dogma, like, they can make things happen, like they say, as if some kind of miracle of science which no-one can explain, even though it’s not possible, and they clearly misinterpret facts.

In fact, if someone was to be called a saint due to misinterpretation of scientific facts from others, it would be a good and valid reasons why they don’t understand.
Not that they are moral or could be more moral even if they had the highest office in the land, but I’m just saying.

What are those in practical terms that actually matter?

Not sure where you want to go with this. Freedom is never 100% or guaranteed, and it should always be under vigilance by the people, as I was implying.

With that said, I cannot speak for every democratic countries’ safeguards. I can only say that many democracies have been around for one or two hundred years and survived worse than what we’re currently going through, such as world wars, disasters, and deadlier pandemics, with their freedoms intact.

I just wanted an answer and feel like you didn’t give me one. The only actual safeguards I’m aware of is a military that stands with the people and hopefully a police that does so as well, though police vs. military won’t go too well for them.

Todays times are drastically different than one, two or three hundred years ago and not comparable. Too many people have grown soft, comfortable, thin-skinned, emotionally weak and dependent. Unless, by safeguards, you mean that the people are both smart enough and willing enough to defend their freedom instead of listening to media, governments and propaganda, I don’t really see how anything written on pieces of paper matters at gunpoint.

Not trying to be argumentative, but the only actual safeguard we all have is eachother. Police and military are “the people” too. When that unity breaks, there’s a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode.

Better get used to it. Until we have a working vaccine there are two options:

  • Social distancing and other protective measures to limit the spread
  • Piles of dead bodies in the streets.

We are probably somewhere at around 1-10% herd immunity. We need 70-80% for this to be over. This will literally take years or until there is a vaccine.

Oh and the “piles of dead bodies” option will probably also increase the risk of getting a second wave because more infected means more viruses means higher probability it mutates into something even worse.

There are military police which also work to protect military medical departments, globally, as , they do have medical bases globally, and, information systems globally, used on those electronic networks.

Some people are emotionally weak, and, when intelligence tries to cause them to be too emotionally weak, and coerce them into it, even if they are stronger than others, they may still come out coerced into it, albeit at a greater cost.
The places with the most people are not democracies at this point, except in some places of their systems. Like, in China, small towns are more democratic.

I would have to verify if you do or do not see how anything written on pieces of paper as a hard-copy of electronic document, matters at gunpoint, when the writings are about rules of engagement, and how to use the guns at gun point and 2 miles.

There is propaganda, both good and bad, which is scientific, but when democracies decide to do wrong, and break the law, it doesn’t mean they are not a democracy.
Freedom is possibly a part of democracy, but freedom from tyranny, which tyranny and oppression are their own potential systems in themselves, and philosophical systems , to run such systems policies, which, if voted for democratically, can be democratically enforced, and is, is not the only freedom related, and , democracy is not only about freedom.

It is about the type of voting system which is in place.

Additionally,

Vaccine often only work for subsequent cases, meaning, it won’t solve the problems of those already with the medical condition, acquired before the incubation period is over.
Rabies is an example of a vaccine which explains that, and why, and so on.
Of course, that will help prevent future pandemic, epidemic, and, endemic, however, that is for the future (and yes, future cases, and, no, not only future in time).
And yes, it is important.

3 million of 7.8 billion in the first 4 months is , 1% of 7.7 b is 77 million, 7.7 million is 0.1%, 3.85 million is 0.05% of global population. That doesn’t include the deaths, although that number is included in the total.

North Korea, officially the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, is a country in East Asia constituting the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, with Pyongyang as its capital and the largest city in the country.
Although the name is, the policies are not.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/1918-pandemic-h1n1.html
In 1918, one third of the planet, or, 500 million people , had this.
Those people live today, and we are from them.
There was 1.8 billion people then.
1.8 billion is 600 million.
If 50 million people died out of 1.8 billion, that leaves 1.75 billion (in 6 months).
1.75 divided by 3 = 0.583, 58.5 million people died.
One reason it is faster to use averages, or derivatives figures, instead of more detailed figures, is that it is faster.

However, 10% died.
Now, the rate is not 10%, it’s 20%.

If too many people die, they may need to be incinerated.
If too many animals die, and are sick, and infect others, they may need to be incinerated.

Until there is a vaccine, social distancing will only be marginally effective.

The U.S. wants to open the economy back up by Mid May as they are still basing their timeline on using aspects of flu season data.

It is going to get worse because uneducated and wishful thinkers want to believe that the pandemic will get better. Mass “getting better thoughts” to get of the virus are not even wrong.

What do you mean by,
“Until there is a vaccine, social distancing will only be marginally effective.”
?

Do you also mean that , once there is a vaccine , that social distancing will be more effective?

I think that, by the time that there will be a vaccine, physical distance to prevent social problems by being too close from one another without a vaccine to prevent the spread of the virus into those not vaccinated will not be the same problem…

Of course, I want to take a sociology course, and, I may have to get paid for it, but , that is not a reason to take it out of context like that, and omit what it is to be social , even if that does not mean to be too close to people , so they get infected, and try to control their finances by causing them more insults, on top of injuries, and try to cover it didn’t happen before, so to get away with it now again.

I don’t like their psychological warfare, because, it leads to those social problems, they try to cover, and won’t get away with it, because they are going to be held responsible for what they did and what they do, and how they do it.

Just because they try to make it seem nice to those they want the support from won’t hide the problems.

As for reopening too early, if they do, they will find out, and will have to take it into effect to reduce the potential additional problems.
They will surely find out by the numbers of confirmed deaths if any.

However, if you need to organize people to go to work for a week, otherwise suffer worst consequences, you better organize it as good as possible, because after that, it may be better in lockdown again.
Also, once more supplies to prevent the spread by using PPE, become more available, that will solve the problem (of not being able to work).
We only have 10% of population here, and no need for half of that much PPE.
Hospital staff are also fewer to meet the demand, or, deal with the overload.

In other words, if your army can’t function without certain points, those may need cover to survive.

For instance, a woman who, is misinformed about me, to think I am bad, when in fact they try to make her crazy with it, so she can’t provide me residential services, tells me she likes the ones who made her crazy, because she feels they protect her, even though it was not the case.
She can’t find out why it was not the case until she gets proof of how they tried to mislead her and gain her support and use her trust against me, causing undue fear in her, while getting paid $60,000 a year for it.
There are probably certain reasons why she may have needed to fear something, but, if it was something else, then, why was I the one used for it instead of the real reason behind this, when it is only used to interfere against the benefit I can bring to society, out of jealousy and greed.

Those are not morally rights things to do.
Spy can do that, but that is dirty warfare.

If people’s brain is infected by a virus which blocks their knowledge about PPE and potential understanding, like zombies at work, then, Physical distancing is the only solution, until they find out, 6 months later, or 1 year later.
PPE is something that can be learned in less than 1 minute.

By the way, for those who think it was right to compete against me and my income by instilling undue fears in victims to attack me, I got news for you.

My suggestion to people reading this thread is this:

  1. Wear a mask at all times when out doors. There is no scientific data on how long the virus is able to survive attached to a passing by pollen spore.
1 a. Wear gloves, eye, arm and head protection at all times as well when in the public. Keeping the virus out of your hair will help reduce infection and spread of the virus during bathing and washing your hair.
(Cotton sleeves with elastic and a cotton beret with elastic should be crafted next.)

  2. Stay warm - the weather is changing due to the air becoming cleaning as a result of less pollution. Less pollution in the air and cooler temperatures means the filtration system of the lungs is experiencing clean air for the first time in 30 years. Your lungs will begin to clean out the pollution after several hours, much like the lungs begin to clean out once a smoker stops smoking. During the cleaning out period the body is in a heightened rate of activity as it cleans the lungs out. As a result you might experience small bursts of colds. Colds that will increase the immunity function of the body resulting in people sneezing and coughing more.

  3. Sign up for unemployment - there is no shame in wanting to be safe and since the government has not done its part to understand and disseminate truthful and accurate information regarding the virus but has in fact lied on numerous occasions to create competing dialogue, the government cannot be trusted to accurately determine that the environment is safe to return to work in. Don’t be a hero, because putting your life in harms way for their profit is not being brave.

  4. Plant gardens outdoors as soon as possible. Keeping active and planting gardens will help reduce the stress and anxiety of the lock-down. Use cardboard boxes lined with plastic that you can set next to a window or even outside if you can’t plant a garden.

  5. Visit stores like Wal-Mart and purchase the camping and survival food. I found a big brick of survival food at Wal-mart for $4.97. With a little milk it will be alright to eat.

Until there is a vaccine social distancing will only have limited success. Because of the deceit and lies of the government the continued spread of the virus will be successful at a 100% rate.

By the way, not to be confuse with Prions, to pray conjugated with
Nous is a plural pronoun : this is the we you use mostly in written form , or when you want to be more formal. On is a more informal we, used predominantly in speech or casual writing (in emails to your friends for example).

Personal Note added:
However, if the guy who translated this “On” to be omitting, that, the one who says On excludes himself, he could be fired from the French Academy , if the worked there, even at $60,000 a year.
He could also get an attribute of being a dysfunctional functionary, who does not function in society, and tries to assassinate the language.
He would be excluded, yes, rightfully so.

I don’t accept your assessment of the situation. Locking the nations down for a month and ensuring strict social distancing measures will ensure that virus is defeated.

The problem that is taking place is that the extremists and Trump are promoting an extremist manner of returning to work just for the sake of being seen on t.v.

The right wing in the U.S. to blame for the continued spread of the virus due to their arrogance and wanting to be viewed as strong patriots.

Throwing bodies at the virus will not work. But having the mentality of sniper, laying still and not moving and letting the virus pass to then snipe it from behind will defeat it and save many lives.

Low on supply, as in, how many were sold in your inventory, and, how many were in stocks, how many were shipped in, and how many were bought to be in stock?
Unless of course, you seek to forfeit the inventory program because it would make no sense if someone robbed the program, and was used to defraud the companies of the supply and cause military logistics problems.
I mean, that does make even less sense, but, since you already may have tried to justify to forfeit an inventory program and reporting a robbery of it as making no sense, it would attempt to try to make it seem like what makes even less sense to make less non-sense, even though it more than twice as less sense, if not worst than 4 times at this point.

Also, if you lose over 1 million in stolen inventory, don’t come back crying at me.

This is not a bio-hazard mask.
It only is designed to protect from dust.
It is of course more safe than medical protection masks, even though contact of virus with your hands on the outside, or, from the disease, with the virus, may be transmitted, if it is not possible to prevent safe contact with the device, even though it would still be safer than not using it.
So, precaution is required to avoid that accident as well.

It’s also more complicated to wear a face mask from those 3D prints, and plastic cover, such as worn in a food processing plant, and safety glasses, or goggles.
It’s also more complicated to wear an Hazmat suit, although the above is a good type of hazmat suit for this condition.
Hazmat is for Hazardous Material.

This hazardous material is a bio-hazard, so , bio-hazard suit can be worn for that, except, one may require certification to get one of those, and wear it properly as well.
Not all of those are good for this conditions, and most of them are designed to be used in specific settings, and not to go around with them.

Disposal procedures are more than likely to be more detailed, and require to be followed more accurately, and, with more details.
Some also have breathing systems like oxygen which makes them even more costly and complicated to use safely.

Why The U.S. Can’t Import Life-Saving Masks

132,452 views • Apr 9, 2020

That depends which masks.
2ndly, how can you prevent yourself from spreading it if you don’t know you have it?
Even if you had mild symptoms like sneezing, caused from air conditioning or other causes, no fever, and coughing, because of other medical conditions, you don’t know if you have it.
It can help you to prevent to spread the other problems to others.

If worn right, and if, the proper mask to protect yourself against contracting it, is worn, used, it will protect you.
If you spread it in the mask, and put the mask infected on your face, it won’t protect you.
It will give it to you.
However, it is safer than not.

Which filtered masks?
I also use other respirators, some of which do use Bio-Hazard cartridges, which are changed to be used with different bio-hazard, and , other hazardous materials.
3M makes those, and other companies also.
Those are not using gas.
Some systems use gas.
Those costs thousands.

I was going to get training to use gas for Asbestos.
That is worth over $5,000.

The system is running extremely bad because I have 4 GB RAM, stored since 2018, updating to Windows 10, and, updating obsolete OS for a week.
I won’t even mention the amount of delays from spying.

The droplets from the mask is in the mask.
Those around you don’t contract it.

If someone coughs on you and you don’t have protection for your eyes, or face, it will be there.
Those masks are not for cough protection rather than dust protection.
The virus gets in dust and can travel.

The virus will not duplicate without being in a cell.
However, it is not ^be^ eradicated instantly.

idk, I would need more details, that is too general a description to have enough accuracy.

The system stalled on my end and I could not close the edit window, and I could not paste your comment, it was rejected more than 3 times on each attempts.

This COVID-19 disaster is just a safety-o-meter, a thermometer of real social situation in a country: medicine, healthcare, sanitation, economic tenacity. It has nothing linked to political status of a country, becasue in such democratic countries like South Korea, Germany, USA and The Democratic Republic of the Congo we can spectate different scenarios. I wouldn’t say that in USA New York city the situation is good and under control. Therefore, expensive insurance medicine isn’t good during these epidemmic cases, or not working as well.

I mentioned about Cambodia because not every country can do what communistic China or democratic South Corea did. In every country the epidemic happens differently, based on many social, economical and cultural (aka subculture mentality) aspects. Therefore, a forceful implementation of wrong lifestyle can lead to a social disaster.

Talking about old and new articles, many countries in Europe, like Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, are ready to pull off the isolation stance. Those countries passed the “peak of infection” and they are in the “death rate peak of infected”. In those countries the insurance medicine and healthcare is very quality.

At the same time, in USA the total number of jobless claims exceeded 22 million. This is alarming data, because we know the number of people in USA which bought a house on credit or rent a house. Talking about economical particularities of every country, as mentioned above, China has a dedicated manufacturing economy (which can work during isolation) while USA has a service based economy (which can’t work during isolation).

No, but it will slow it greatly.

The point is, even with a Bio-Hazard suit and lab and quarantine of the Apollo project, there are still risks.
You are not going to get perfect and that is not what is required.

You could get the best condition once in a million years, it is not what is required.

I use 3M cartridge at work, and it filter types of material which is listed.
Some are not designed to be filtered because they are not present.
The system does not allow your breathing to go out of the filter because the filter works both ways.

If you cough in a N95 mask and even a surgical mask, it will be stopped by it.
If you won’t wear it properly, it can go through, or on the sides.
If you put your hand infected and touch the inside, it can be infected.
Those are not good forever.

Gas mask filters are not the oxygen supply systems.
Those gas masks filters are like cartridge filter, some protect the eyes and other parts, as the gas it protects from can also react on contact without breathing.
3 systems, not 2.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to depend.
That is why those precautions are to make the conditions more secure, and to improve from there, until it is better, and solved.
There are severe perception problems which led to this.
Those perception problems have to be solved by improving it where it is needed.
It is not necessary to solve all the perception problems.
To suggest a false sense of reality and hope people will survive it is also not what is required.
I am at war against that.

This is what I’m pointing at. The current epidemic disaster is because medical healthcare in many countires failed to do what they should do. They become too expensive and insurance centric. As you pay, you’ll be cured, otherwise take this aspirin pill.

Since day one of epidemic in China, they should have form an organisation for management to divide people into potential risk groups and people with partial immunity to pneumonia based on their medical history. The first group should have been informed to stay home in isolation via SMS, phone calls and e-mails. The second group should have been to do what they usually are doing, and support the first group, by wearing gloves and masks for a month or two. All holidays and other crowds should have been banned for several months. This could significantly reduce the infection statistics.
