What makes EVE feel like a joke of a game to you

Yep, definitely Ridiculous Cod.

Dude, you need a new script. You out yourself every damn time with the same old bile.

Thoughtless comments? You are a fine one to talk, you’ve never accepted Eve for what it is, probably because you couldn’t cut the mustard and feel bitter about it. We get it, you don’t like Eve. You have a very low opinion of those that do, and would much rather it died than people enjoyed it.

This coming from someone who is constantly rolling alts to troll the forums of a game he can’t stand is 'king rich as hell. You couldn’t be more wrong if you tried.

I’d rather be me than you TBH, you strike me as a sad individual who has nothing better to do with their life than spew ignorance, bile and drivel all over the internet.

You could just fly into random peoples missions until you get one with a lootable objective. You could learn to recognize them from previous experience.

There are actually people who do this all the time for certain COSMOS missions. All you can do is hope that they are asleep when you run the mission. If they can get to it before you they will try to sell you the item but if there is any chance you will reach the object first, they will blow it up and there is nothing you can do about it, except multi box ganking suicide catalysts of course.

However, it doesn’t happen very often so that makes it somehow makes it acceptable.:upside_down_face:

Alpha, your wasting your time. These gankers will defend their asshatery ways to the death and pick apart and twist your posts word by word. Say what you came to say and leave it. Dont give them the pleasure the seek by replying to them. Normally I would say speak with your wallet and un-sub, but considering EVE development is run by former gankers now I doubt they will get the message. Hopefully you got a chance to enjoy EVE before it went so far sown hill.

Your point?

This style of game-play is within the rules of the game, the item isn’t yours until it’s in your hangar.

Don’t bother, he’s a well known troll. Many of us have received his little “love” letters over the years, usually because we don’t agree; multiple alts and personal insults are the norm, as are bans. Occasionally one of us is honoured with a lookalike alt, which posts the the same old shite as all the others.

On topic

EVE development is run by former gankers now

This has always been the case, the original Eve devs, including the current CEO were all PKers in Ultima Online; in Eve we’d call them gankers, and that they were gankers is the main reason Eve isn’t WoW in space.

Wow!
No way would I put that much into a rig and displays for a game. Let alone a 15 year old game.
I’d be doing other things that would yield an income.

All issues aside. I’ll pass

It’s not really a game; is it? They’ve turned it into a tool for committing abuse. If you enjoyed abusing others, then this “game” would give you a perfect excuse and opportunity to do exactly what you cannot do in the real world without serious consequences. Your subconscious is rejecting the idea that there can be such a realm and rejecting the idea that any human being would want to inhabit such a place.

Simple, the developers. (Or more precisely, the people in charge of the developers.)

Sure bro. And Call of Duty gives you an excuse to shoot people because you can’t shoot them in RL.

Learn how to separate fiction from reality, you seam to have a serious problem with that.

We’re all car thieves, murderers, soldiers, spaceships, playboy mansion owners (don’t ask), mech pilots, racer drivers, roman legionnaires, medieval knights (FOR AGATHAAAAAA), traders, dragon killers… that’s all I think :joy:

I also like games where I get the opportunity to get away as playing as a sorcerer without the real world consequences of getting burned as a witch.

My personal fav are the strategy games where you basically wipe out all other sentient life the galaxy. Expanding my domain through outright tyranny and inciting domestic terrorism in rival empires. Basic death toll 100+ billion.

The obvious difference is that in those other games, both players know that they are in the game. Suicide ganking in EVE for the large part is not real pvp, its largely just griefing and beating up newbs, and there is ample evidence of that.

Its pretty funny that some of you silly kids can’t tell/deny the difference.

Define this, please.

I’m thinking that your definition is not the same as EvE’s.

In pvp, both players know that they are in the game.

SG is mostly abusing a lack of game knowledge due to poor game design. The game doesn’t sufficiently inform the players on the differences in concord reaction times and that other players will try to abuse that fact. This is why SG largely victimize newer players who don’t understand the rules of the game, often incurring devastating losses in the process.

Face it. This is poor game design.

Its a joke.

Unless you have access to a spacecraft in real life, it’s fairly fecking obvious that you’re in the game when you’re flying one.

Its like elite pvp, only more real.

Interesting choice of words as just by playing the game, the player…knows they are in the game. The game it’s maker intentionally makes not safe anywhere. CCP tells players this but if they learn this by practical experience in the game, that’s not bad design, that’s the way the game is supposed to be.

Loss? Yep. That’s the game. No risk is a bit boring. “Devestating loss”? Only if you allow yourself to be that way.

No. You aren’t getting it. Were talking about suicide ganking here. The game doesn’t inform players of the differences of concord reaction times and how other players will try to abuse that. Its very poor game design considering the potential for devastating losses.

What makes it worse is that suicide gankers never have to take any risk because they are always flying disposable throw away ships that cost next to nothing. All of these factors combine to make it the ideal outlet for griefers. This is a big part of why people say EVE is a griefers paradise. It is a joke.

It really isn’t a difficult concept to understand. I’ve always been amazed how tolerat some people are of ■■■■ gameplay and pay2win.

In fact, ALL ships are throwaway ships.
