Afterall, Earth did not have to recover from the destruction, repopulation and rediscovery of space-faring technologies that New Eden had to endure. Just a few crumbs…

I still have a crapload of stuff from that event. Probably should trash them.
Earth can finally reunite with New Eden the moment a new wormhole connection is found to reach Earth.
With how many wormholes are being rolled daily it’s only a matter of time. Maybe it already happened and some surprised wormholers stumbled upon Earth but haven’t told any of the rest of us!
If this ever happened earth would vastly out way new Eden in technology. The ships that came here were the best from earth at the time but things went backwards not forwards when they first arrived. With in house fighting and faction splits they never progressed at the start. Where as earth never had that issue and continued to progress in tech and ships etc.
If they actually followed the lore earth ships would decimate every single race in this universe including drones, drifters and triglavians.
You might want to sit down, before I tell you what happened to the Terrans…

@Tolkenmoon This my my reasoning as well. The earth has 15,000 years of unimpeded advancement over New Eden…provided nothing disastrous happened. We are disconnected from the history of earth and have no way of knowing this is the case. There are so many narrative threads this could follow.
I think that we have readily proved that we humans ARE the disaster.

I have been asking that question for years. With all of the wormholes that appear in New Eden, there would be a random wormhole that opens back to Earth.

If Terrans are far more advanced than us, I expect developers to make the reconnection once the game is about to die as some kind of last event where New Eden gets overrun by advanced Terran military and is annexed and then game servers shut down. Otherwise, I don’t see how they would ever reconnect New Eden with Earth, unless humanity on the other side collapsed and regressed technologically, which is highly unlikely considering how advanced they were prior to the collapse of the EVE gate.
Terrans chain mega-doomsday the New Eden Cluster from the other side of the reopened EVE Gate.
They literally wipe out New Eden. Nothing remains. The End.

The alternate ending would be the Eve gate reopens to find Earth has established a long lasting peace for the past 10,000 years. No wars, poverty, sickness, exist and here comes all the backwater idiots in their battleships to end paradise.
