When EVE goes too far and its time to call it a day after 14 years

and there you go, the eve lowlife enters…

so let me get this straight you think its OK for someone to be forced to quit the game? that’s OK is it?

But you’re not.

Because immediately after you say scamming is fine you say scamming is not fine when it affects someone emotionally and mentally until they feel they have to quit the game.

Scamming is fine as long as it only happens to people that can cope with it, in other words.

Scamming is fine, as long as it happens to someone else, not your friend.

Scamming is fine, except … it isn’t.

This is like me insisting that murder is fine until someone murders my mother …

No. He was.

This.

I repeat:

quitting is a voluntary act.

being forced out of the game is a different matter and that id take issue with.

giving up because you got burned isnt that

and thus everyone comes to eve to be the bad guy to find a bunch of other bad guys fighting over the same things.

I hate you and your selfish attitude.

That is when a few “Welcome to EVE!” exchanges are to be had.

have you not listened to anything? please stop posting until you get a brain…

he was forced out because he was scammed… there he was forced out, if he wasn’t scammed he wouldn’t of been quitting, therefore an action triggered that response to leave, therefore forced out.

but youre not taking issue with it, because you simply don’t care, and that’s where i take issue, with scum like yourself thinking its ok for someone to be bullied, or forced to quit.
OK? is that plain enough for you?

Eve - a place to be builled, a place to use your real life thieving persona to steal from other with no repercussions, a place where we can harbour all the criminals and scum in life, and actually praise them for it…

no thanks

You should learn to differentiate real life from fiction.

Or wait when someone beats you in chess you feel violated or when someone makes you bankrupt in monopoly they do it because they secretly enjoy pushing other people into poverty?

You definitely need a reality check.

Can I have your stuff?

Scamming is a fundamental part of EVE, and always has been. There were many points in this process where they could have asked literally anyone else, and they would have told them that they were being scammed, but they thought they were getting a deal, so they didn’t.

I’m sorry that your friend quit, but that too is EVE. He’ll either be back with a desire to regain what he once had, or he’ll go play other games that are less punishing for those who do not have the capability to understand that the persons they’re negotiating with are capable of lying.

There is a Q - violence is forthcoming!! /grrr :space_invader:

You’re mad at the game that your friend left the game? That seems somewhat silly.

Maybe it is a “friend” instead of a friend. Like when you ask a question on behalf of a “friend”. Would explain his overreaction pretty much.
