Look, if you were in a retribution and someone used a curse/sentinel to nuke your cap in a single cycle, what would you do? 2 mids can’t fit a cap booster, so you’re pretty screwed right? At least with ecm you still can activate your ADCU and there’s a chance you won’t be jammed. With neuts, you have a 100% chance of having no cap and you won’t be able to use your ADCU
There is a reason people don’t fight curses yea, but I don’t see why more oppressive ships should be in the game, I’d rather see recon’s become aoe so they do 1/10th of their strength to one ship but they can apply that to 20 or so ship’s so they are still useful in fleet fights.
Yup, it is like people who want immunity from warp disrupt but refuse to fit stabilizers.

CCP nerf’d BS so players would use smaller ships more often.
BS used to be the only sub-cap most used on roams, in addition to scouts.
The only ones who didn’t fly them were those who couldn’t afford them.
Honestly, I think the slower BS warp speed if fine, for the most part.
Edit: Though I did enjoy the RR BS fleets at times.

Give Destroyers a Torpedo class and reduce their sig, and give BSes more flexibilty in some ways (comnand or such) so that fleet composition is more varied and frigates and gun destroyers protect the BSes while their Large guns provide mission, either fir structure bashing or more importantly matching other heavy gunships.

Why not remove all the ecm crap from the Caldari ships and make them useful.
And RCM was nerfed after the alliance tournament because people watched the fight and said well so and so lost because the other team had a griffin and that sounded stupid…

The new ecm mechanics are ok for me. It’s the Falcon, Rook and Griffin Navy that need a rebalance. Scorpions, Griffins and Blackbirds work just fine thanks to the huge range they have.
Exactly. T2 EWAR boats and the griffin navy, as well as ECM tengu’s don’t recieve the range bonuses like their T1 variants, so they actually underperform when compared to their T1 versions. By reverting the ecm mechanics for only T2 EWAR boats and griffin navies and maybe the ECM tengu, people would actually have a reason to use those boats
What I find is the most broken module of this nerf is ECM bursts… I used to use them on my DST to help give me some time to jump back through the gate. Then there is the jammer module for marauders that’s basically the same.

Something I never understood about the ECM changes is why they went all the way to make ECM completely useless in 1 vs 1 fights.
When I read the reasons they stated for those changes in the dev blog, it seems to me that the same goals could have been accomplished by letting a successful jam to at least break the lock the jammed ship has on the jamming ship, allowing a new lock to be acquired after that.
That would also have accomplished what CCP said was the reason for the changes without introducing new jamming mechanics and without rendering ECM ships completely useless in 1 vs 1 fights…
