Idgaf about his life lessons.
I just browsed it for anything relevant to EVE or topic, and there was none.
This isnt a self-help forum, its an EVE forum.
Do you want to hear my life story now?
Will that make a difference?
Iâm hoping to resub soon. Iâve had a lot of admin stuff lately and Iâm waiting for when things calm down a bit with the whole starting a new life and career thing. EVE is a game that I want to commit to, not just log in, update my skills, then watch TV. Lately, Iâve only had the energy for Daredevil, DCS, and some casual Elite: Dangerous. Iâll be back properly soon, though, hopefully by April. You know I will or I wouldnât have come to the forums to get a feel for the gameâs current atmosphere. Not much has changed tbh
It was very relevant to EVE, actually. You didnât even read it, so how could you possibly know the content? You either read it, or you didnât, mate. Canât have it both ways. And if you read it, you know it wasnât a whine. It was an explanation of why youâre a pathetic crackpot with no real investment in this game, and youâre just arguing for itâs own sake. Itâs all you ever do. Even now, youâre going to argue with this just because itâs an argument. If arguing is the highlight of your life, you need a hobby. Maybe you can be a beanie model, except I wouldnât recommend the one your mother made you in that video.
Itâs nothing less than astonishing how some of you manage to bury every valid thread (you know, those with actual content worth discussing) under a â â â â load of self centered bickering.
I doubt that. There is no real reason to create those repeatedly. You do this once and use them for years - unless there was a sudden, massive increase in cap pilots or a massive influx of new people in Null overall.
Based on EVE-Offline :: EVE-Online Status monitor there are around 4k new chars created on any day (estimated average for the last three months). This totals in a pool of 360k chars that has those ~19k losses â on average just above every 20th char is killed at least once.
When I look at the kill distribution, I see two groups:
the âcanât read or think they know what they are doingâ group
the âgot â â â â â â â group
Group 1 is everyone that wanders somewhere that has an explicit warning sign (low, null, wh) and group 2 is the rest that was âoverwhelmedâ by game mechanics (either ganked or something that is not sufficiently explained). Group 2 consists at most of the 14.7% kills that happen in high sec and at least of those 2.4% that got ganked.
This means that merely between 0,125% and 0,7% of all new characters die without explicit consent to the danger of getting shot.
Obviously, of those 360k chars only a fraction is actively played (otherwise the login count would most likely be much higher).
To put those kill numbers in perspective, it would be nice to know not only how many new chars are new players, but also how many live their Eve lives happily without getting killed and where.
You know, either of you could just choose not to answer off-topic stuff.
I donât have a passionate opinion on the topic but when i was new i rolled 2 characters and lost the first in a WH on day 3 and the other in low sec shortly after.
What i really wanted to say is that i enjoyed your video replies very much. It is refreshing to see a real human expose his ideas and with humour too! Good on you, donât let the others get under your skin too much.
