all this chart crap and all i see is…“ITS THEIR FAULT.” new players get curious and go into dangerous space…some get butt hurt and whine and cry then quit.
The issue is that if anyone here is looking at this and saying war decs are not an issue are doing so without knowing how many don’t bother logging in or undocking during war decs. That is a rather key data which needs to be seen in conjunction with this.
What it does confirm to me is just how low activity in hisec really is and the lack of interesting real hisec entities.
Wars are not an issue with numbers that small.
And let’s be honest, the majority of people will log in regardless of wars because they’re unaffected by them and/or know their way around them

Dom I would suggest that this figure is the tip of an iceberg in terms of impact, but for me it confirms nothing in terms of war decs. But it does show that hisec has lost a hell of a lot of content with newer players who have something about them heading to nullsec. What’s left is likely the bears of the bears…

the most these charts do is debunk the “think of the children” point often used like a bludgeon when discussing war.
I never really held much truck with the think of the children comment in terms of hisec wars. It was an emotional hit to make a point, and can at times be a cry for help by newbies who have not worked out how to avoid. Though if they get one of those newbie stalking farmer types I could understand them getting a bit uptight.

The discord channel is a farce at worst, and an attempt to sideline discussion off the boards beyond CCP purview at best. I saw that immediately, tested it, and left when it failed to deliver.
