Where are the players?

Yea… And then they whine about Target Scarcity. They think it’s like real life: Unlimited flow of Victims and Suckers

You don’t read very well do you. I still have 2 active accounts, they just don’t cost me anything.

That’s ok, good chance I’ll still be here when you’ve gone.
Caring about the future of the game is why I post here.
You’re obviously not invested in Eve, as you said, “I couldn’t care less” so why are you here?
I’ve seen your type come and go for years and never was it a loss. Sad thing is, unless you payed for this account you’ve been around nearly as long as me but have such a poor attitude toward the game.

Sure they did. I mean, unless someone just straight-up gifted you subs or money.

There wasn’t actually a lot of crying over it, people just got bored and stopped logging in. But by all means, bring back BO. It’s not like CCP can lose too many more players by bringing it back.
2hrs after restart last night, 6,400 online (over 900 of those in Jita), in the past at this time of year around 14 to 16k.

Why would people get more bored with BO than without it?

Funnily enough PVP content dried up after the first week of BO, those of us who like PVP got bored waiting for all the “lete pvp’rs” who promised to destroy nul during BO

Yes, you already said that. And I asked you why there were so many tears over it if that was the case.

The only ones shedding tears would have been the botters, which I have no sympathy for.
Or maybe people were crying because they were promised content, that never came.
I know I just kept doing what I did on a daily basis, sans pvp which was a bit sad but not tear worthy.

I will add, at this point I’m lining up the tear buckets ready for September.

We might start to see a few players coming across from World of Warcraft

Asmongold (known in the wow community and rather large steam audience of male neckbeards)
He comments about Eve Online Asmongold Reacts to Preach Quitting WoW - YouTube with his comment about drama and as I recall many wow players enjoyed drama.

Pls don’t be offended I came from wow in 2017 and currently have a beard (neck is clean shaven)

Do we have any high-sec mining streamers? That seems like an untapped market.

Once streamed how to setup a PI on a planet and to layout that was positioned perfectly.
Soon afterwards though that stream was deleted as to me it looked like watching paint dry.

Mining might be considered the same don’t you think? Or at least if it was me and how I mine.

I think it just has to be narrated properly. Imagine building up the hype and excitement leading up to needing to replace your crystals and then bursting out into tears as the reload timer is running, telling the viewers how you couldn’t have done it without their support. Hundreds of new Twitch subs right there.

Do you know what it feels like to be stuck on a Asteroid while panic warping?

I don’t think so.

I know how it feels like to warp to an asteroid belt while panicking that the other player might warp out of it before I can get there, if that counts.

Well what if you too then need to warp out but you are unable to as you are stuck on a large rock?

Or a deadspace mission gate? Align out is not that easy while in panic mode. First must overcome the panic before aligning out.

On this very thread “Where are the players” could be some Capsuleers are currently in so call panic mode and need to somehow align to return back into New Eden.

Is that thinking too far outside the sandbox?

On a earlier note, I had decided to fire up the Behringer Q1002

Do y’all ever think to yourselves “Man, we keep having the same conversations over, and over, and over again on these boards?”

I mean it’s all so frakking predictable at this point.

Someone says it looks like the playerbase is dwindling.
Someone says “nuh-uh.”
Someone points out the nerfs to general playstyles.
Someone mentions EvE being sold.
Hi-Sec Griefer pops in to tongue in cheek troll.
Someone responds to Hi-Sec Griefer to try to win intellectually.
Hi Sec Griefer responds.
Topic gets locked or abandoned.

Some time later in the day, Hi Sec Griefer makes another post about themselves in C&P.

Nothing gets solved. Nothing gets resolved. The playerbase continues putting their heads in the sand.

Maybe the stagnation in EvE really is y’alls faults, man.
How long did you honestly expect growth when you yourselves have nothing else to talk about other than null being owned by players, and hi-sec being a griefers fishing pond?

Who would log in for that?

Pretty much that.

Sometimes the ants nest needs to settle I get it.

Too many chiefs and not enough Indianans! CCP has made the grand mistake in allowing (listening) the CSM to give them advice. It is like a person who owns a bar/restaurant who keeps listening to the customers at their favorite table. NO NO we need this free! They ( other customers) should be forced to order this because I (CSM) likes it. Also don’t under estimate the BOSS pearl abyss wanting returns on their 425 million dollar investment! I said I would bring my three omega accounts back when Scarcity ended. Sadly. Like that fat girlfriend/boyfriend who told they are fat and lose some weight who did lose that weight. I have found another distraction a hell of lot cheaper. I think I will take a wait see approch. If EVE FOLDS. I want to thank them for the 11 years! 8 of them were a real blast!

Why would you join a game that was dying before you ever showed up?
