We have to look at what they DID

and what they DID was give a bonus to the orca IN GENERAL, that is NOT IN THE SPECIFIC CASE OF AFK. So people who say “CCP had the intent to encourage AFK orca” are wrong, period.

New flash, Orca’s are mining support ships. They were given Ice Mining drones, so that the poor pilot that is boosting his fleet at least can pull in some ice too.

However, players turned it into a AFK mining bastion. CCP fixed the problem.

I really hope they change Trig behavior to where they warp into ice belts. From what I have seen of Trig behavior…they do not like ice atm. Have seen them at pocos, structures, planets, gates and asteriod belts but not anomalies sadly. They are tricky and fun to fight. Great time to introduce them with BO going on in null.

A basic venture pays for itself in ~10minutes of mining, so one every day or so shouldn’t really be a problem.

ITs there customers playing their game, if they like to semi afk mine, they enjoy that and they are paying for the game, why combat that? They can also release new ships and citadels that require much more ores etc. to sink it again.

Because as it was there way no difference between an active miner and an afk one, income wise. Different effort levels but same payout and that needs to change. And of course, as stated: bots.
