The Devs have things to do, y’know, like coding and going blind on troubleshooting. And when they’re not doing that they want to see their lady/man, friends, kids… not shooting the sh!t on some forum.
The forum is for us players.
Updates are for them Devs.
yeh comments get removed if they don’t support the FCCP position, it’s the norm.

I often post comments and make threads that don’t support but in fact criticize the FCCP position.
In fact I think FCCPs position on the new asteroid names is awful, and I’m still waiting for FCCP to fix the character window portraits which have been broken for ages now.
Yet unlike your other character @denyial I don’t have a forum mute.
Could it be that it’s not the ‘FCCP position’ you need to follow, but the forum rules?

Isn’t this the reverse twist on the old “Game is Dying” threads?
While a few forums reflect the game activity, I have other games I play. I stop in here when I have the time. Unlike some of these poor bastards, I get 6 to 8 hours of sleep, work 2 part time jobs, attend college, and play more than one online game. If the forum was more active, I would be very concerned about why these people have so much spare time. Yesterday I got in a few games of street hockey, today I am going to a pumpkin farm with my friends.

Funny, these days with a kid and baby I have very little time to play. But I can still post on the forums while giving a bottle at any time of the day (or night)!

I have another perception. I think that reaction is there because 97% of the ideas are either just pure stupidity or follow a personal agenda of the player to get spacerich without putting any effort to learn even the most basic game mechanics.
Figuratively speaking It happens more than it should that a player logs onto the game, opens a menu for the first time and sees a new button in the color blue. The next action is to hop onto the forums and open a thread with the idea to make that button purple, because in star trek those are purple instead of maybe asking why that button is blue and not purple in the first place.
Most of the ideas just show pure ignorance and/or naivety and a real discussion on those idea never evolves while the most problematic thing is that the poster didn’t think of the consequences on the game and just cared for his/her profit. Also usually it rests with the opening post and the idea giver doesn’t even take part in the discussion afterwards where the possible problems with the idea are identified.
Out of this experience i would rather have a new forums rule set into action that either prohibits the posting of ideas or autodeletes them if the OP doesn’t participate in his own discussion that he/she started. It would avoid so much unneeded junk in the forums and i haven’t even ranted about ideas presented as a kilometer long AI slop post yet…

Yeah, that’s a bane for me. But 90% of the time people post everything under Communications Center. I even saw a thread belonging to fiction/Intergalactic Summit under Communications a little while ago, not to mention some sale posts.
It’s like if when going to a store there are no shelves, no aisles, no sections. Everything is dumped in a giant pile next to the entrance and you better sort it out yourself if you wanna find something, it’s not the store’s problem. And they can’t put the pen refills on a stationery shelf because the stationery shelf is not that ‘popular’ and refills go next to toilet paper to get more buyers. Also, bleach and rat poison will be found next to fresh meat, of course. Makes all the sense not to have any categories.

I doubt it. On the forums you have to actually put in some thought when posting, and also, you gotta read some posts made by others, some of which can be ‘lengthy’ (subjectively). A lot of the younger people coming on don’t seem to have ‘patience’ for this type of communication anymore, so they won’t last.
That’s not the only reason forums are less popular than Reddit/Discord, but it’s one among.
In an ideal case people do put in thought, but lately some often let AI do the ‘thinking’.
That’s the only reason I could think of why the forums would be ‘dead’. A bunch of inanimate automations are doing the posting. But in all frankness – those users posting A| slop won’t have anything meaningful to contribute on their own anyway. They use automation to make themselves look smarter, better, articulate – often failing in all of these – just to get likes. You can safely ignore them and be rid of most of the AI dirt.
Let’s see, you received your first ‘Solution’ tag on Mar 20, 2021… I received my first one on Mar 17, 2026 yet during the time period between those dates I’ve posted countless ‘Solutions’ in various threads and never once got credited for it…
Now it is possible the OP of those threads I helped didn’t know about the ‘Solution’ tag but I find that highly doubtful, especially when it’s more probable that the ‘Solution’ tag on replies has been manipulated…
So yeah, I do think it’s manipulated through the use of Alt’s, especially since the OP of the thread is the one who selects the reply for the ‘Solution’ tag…

Could it also just be that I helped more people to a solution to their question?
Like you I’ve also answered many questions that I didn’t get credit for in the form of another solution tag, and until recently this number didn’t even have any impact.
And suddenly I’m getting accused of alt-abuse for ‘farming solutions’ for a title, when I already had all those solutions a long time ago and nobody knew a title for it would be added?
Do I smell envy?

Well since I’m not all into the whole Discord title and achievement things like you and Geo are, it does look rather suspicious…
One thing is for sure, I never actually accused you of doing it so spare the defensive innocent victim stance… In my opinion it just makes you look more guilty, either by association or by design…
And sorry to deflate your forum ego, there’s no envy here, just lot’s of distrust…
