Why didnt u sell on top? 📉

Then I encourage anyone interested to go look up for themselves, if wages have maintained their purchasing power.

And you’re setting up a false choice there, which is nonsense. Do you honestly believe that people are better off now because of the inflationary policies of central banks?

That’s not my argument.

That was my point, that seemed to be what you were implying. If not, my apologies.

We agree on that point

So long as the deflation in prices is slow and steady, sure why not. The rate of prince inflation or deflation is the problem, not the direction.

Designed to accumulate wealth unto those who have the monopoly power to create that currency. Yes, in that regard it has done a very good job.

So just how long have you been working for Nancy?

Likewise, government extremist

The rate of change is what encourages unwanted behaviors, not slow changes.

Go tell that to every one who has argued against private banking based on debt for the past 300 years.

Cry More

Whatever

Ideological purity vs “seems to be working so far.” Nice way to start the day.

Please, walk us through precisely the steps you will use to make a bitcoin transaction without breaking the air gap around the PC that holds your keys.

And then, once you have done this, please explain how this process is compatible with practical use of bitcoin. For example, explain how you would purchase a loaf of bread at your local grocery store.

though of course you’re also completely ok with accusing others of being child abusers because they don’t agree with your opinions

I did no such thing. I accused you of making a vow to support child abusers (and drug dealers) by continuing to use illegal bitcoin after bitcoin is (hypothetically) banned, because drug dealers and child abusers would be the only people accepting bitcoin in that scenario. The accusation has nothing to do with your opinions and is 100% about your explicit statements about what you intend to do.

PS: abusing the flagging system to cover up your bad behavior doesn’t make it ok.

Speaking of “working so far”, anyone look at the price of bitcoin over the past few days?

You realize you are arguing with people who think the gold standard was a good thing? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

walk us through precisely the steps you will use to make a bitcoin transaction without breaking the air gap around the PC that holds your keys

scan a QR code with transaction to sign onto air gapped PC, scan a QR code of signed transaction from air gapped PC.

explain how this process is compatible with practical use of bitcoin

bitcoin provides a range of security options from SPV wallet on your mobile phone (least secure) to hardware wallets used with normal computers (more secure) to cold storage on hardware wallets accessed through air gapped PCs (very secure) to multi signature schemes with keys stored on multiple hardware wallets.

you’re free to decide how much bitcoin you want to keep behind any level of security - it is all up to your personal risk tolerances.

why am i even trying, i don’t know, you haven’t demonstrated that you’re capable of understanding any involved technologies. you don’t even understand how one can safely read information from air gapped PC for fucks sake.

I accused you of making a vow to support child abusers

hence you are a piece of ■■■■ human garbage.

LOL.

You’re dumber than I thought. Here I was thinking I’d have to work for this one because you’d at least tell me that you’d write down every bit of the transaction with pencil and paper to transfer it. But no, you proudly admit that you’d use a method as hilariously insecure as QR codes to bridge your “air gap”.

I strongly suggest that you never do anything that would attract the attention of the CIA/NSA/etc because you clearly aren’t creative enough at imagining security threats to protect yourself.

you don’t even understand how one can safely read information from air gapped PC for fucks sake.

No, I understand perfectly well how you can do it. I just understand the difference between “zero trust required” and “I believe that the systems and people I trust are worthy of that trust”. You, very clearly, do not.

bitcoin provides a range of security options

Yep. And only the least secure of them are viable options for use as a currency.

hence you are a piece of ■■■■ human garbage

No, that would be the serious criminals that you would be spending bitcoin with if you carry out your vow to keep using bitcoin despite it being banned. You know, because those are the only people who would accept it.

Oh c’mon! I don’t know enough about the technology to follow along. Don’t tease me like that. Why won’t a QR code work?

Because if you compromise the QR software you can send arbitrary data through QR codes, including sending the bitcoin wallet keys from the “air gapped” PC to a PC with internet access.

Granted, it works for most purposes because compromising it would be difficult enough that anyone interested in stealing your bitcoin is just going to break into your house and start cutting pieces off of you until you hand over your keys. But the libertarian fanboy claimed that zero trust is required because the sacred bitcoin is perfect, and their system clearly requires trusting (among other things) the QR software, the camera used to read the QR codes, etc.

I’ll just leave this here.

Its easier to make other than bitcoin currencies illegal for reasons, but that would mean the dollar would be worthless in comparison to Venezuelan bolivar. Unlikely.

yeah, that bakery is not an actual criminal business like child abusers or drug dealers. how is that hard to comprehend?

It is if the government says it is. They do that sort of stupid thing all the time.

if a legitimate business (bakery) becomes criminal solely because government bans bitcoin, i don’t consider it actually criminal. how on earth does one get from here to “child abusers will be happy of your patronage” - i have no idea, takes a special kind of stupid person to make that leap.

Look at what many governments have done in response to covid, some things they’ve banned or made illegal are rather silly. The government doesn’t care what you consider criminal or not.
