But if you are doing something you enjoy, is it really work..
However, if you are not paying for a sub out of your own pocket. And strictly plexing your sub. Then, yes, you are working. One way or the other you are paying. Either in time or money. While I appreciate that you do not necessarily see it that way. It is still true all the same.
However if you are not plexing you account or paying out of pocket. Nor have ever bought plex out of pocket. Then yes you are simply playing.
But as all games are time sinks. The nature of the beast. True of any game. Whether it is chess or some ancient game played in Mesopotamia to card games to any board game to our online games today, If you are striving for a goal. The in one sense you are working. Though maybe not for monetary gain. Which leads me back to my original sentence.
if you are doing something you enjoy, is it really work.. That goes for any game or career/job one might have.
When I worked in the textile mill. I ran a machine. That was next gen for sewing. It was windows driven and could sew any pattern that you could load into the windows program. For all those years. I did not consider myself really working as I was having fun running that machine.
Again is it really work, if you are having fun?

I don’t sub or Plex my account, I haven’t spent a dime on this game. Now my husband did spend on Plex as a thanks to the developer. I just have fun here, when I am not busy or playing on my Guild Wars PvP weekends or Black Desert. I have spent cash money on both of those games. Being an alpha only player, I don’t feel any restrictions. I have made and spent ISK and even given to the MSB program. Currently I am working out what my next objective will be here. I have owned and lost stations and ships, I have mined, PvPed, hauled items, purchased clothes, etc.. It only feels limited from my aspect that there are no apartment items, because there is no apartment.
I don’t have anything to lose here. If my account got delete tomorrow, it is not the end of the world. What I stated in my first post on this thread, is the reason why players take this game far too serious. They have invested a large amount of cash in this game over time. I would be feeling very upset, if Black Desert went poof! tomorrow. I spent a lot of real world cash on my housing. Meanwhile I stopped spending on Guild Wars when they made the trash sequel in 2012. But I would still miss my Guild Wars PvP weekends, if they took the original game down.
I hope that explains it better for you.
