Ahhh, ok. Guess I missed the positive aspect in this statement:
Since that statement was directed to me and a few other community members, I’m sure I speak for us all when I say the feeling is definitely mutual and please, go back to reddit.

Never express on a forum who you don’t like. Give Likes to those you do, and skip over the rest as being “still under development”.
When you tell others you don’t like them, then all you do is to tell them that you have a problem with them, and it’s neither their problem nor will they be in the position to help you with yours. It’s never a good idea.
Except that’s not what’s happening. CCP are indeed replying to people on the forums, quite often, actually. The complaint is, “why won’t CCP reply to my banal issue that I posted in the wrong section of the forums?” Those are the only people complaining about CCP not engaging on the forums, because CCP are engaging on the forums.
Reddit is the single most ‘toxic’ cesspit on the internet with MAYBE the exception of a few niche message boards and darkweb hotspots. You don’t need to be a genius to spot the echo chambers and the vote brigading that almost entirely constitutes the reddit ecosystem. But even if it wasn’t the most toxic place on the internet, it’s toxic enough to warrant avoiding. Which is what I do. Kudos to CCP for wading into that swamp at all, to be perfectly honest.
It is that way BECAUSE devs don’t take a look here not BECAUSE forums users are so bad. Reddit is worse, and it’s users are worse, still they post more often there.
“I like AP but they need to listen to me because I know better what is good for the game”. Good talk.
Well that is rather odd because in the thread I am thinking of the only posts that were deleted were me giving you back your insult of ‘you should take your meds.’ And by the way your post did not get deleted but my ones did. And this happened multiple times too.
I could take your word on it not being you reporting my posts that time, because that incident set in motion the event which I referred to above and it did involve a certain ISD and after he left that stopped. So it could have been him.
Why would I threaten you, this is a game, however you started off with the insults first mate and when you got going on me you started talking about hate when I said I disliked your posting, I seem to remember that it was a feeble attempt to try to paint me as someone who would hate over a video game.
I found you an obnoxious poster who would insult people freely with snide comments and then act as if you were the victim and then tell everyone who wonderful you are. I found it rather charming in a quaint way, but you do talk sense in a number of areas, you should just get less angry.
I started ignoring you first, but then saw a couple of posts that I agreed with and so decided to remove the block. There are many things that you are right about. However you seem to go up and down a lot in terms of your posting.
Anyway if you have chilled a bit then good on you.
PS Damn you made me not delete that cookie, so if that is it then I am out of here.
This from the poster that deliberately antagonized other posters you “didnt like” for years by your own admission, and hated on CCP for every change.
I suppose what constitutes a “toxic cesspit” is relative to your values.
Seems to me, you contributed a great deal to making this place a toxic cesspit with your posting, and when you claimed to realize that, you just jumped into a format (reddit) that is more inline with your own toxic style.
Good riddance.
wow reading this is really a hard thing
some guys really think CCP made this (and the old) forum to hurt people?
you guys understand how a forum works right?
a forum is for people … they ask questions and others answer question
people can talk about stuff they interessted in and discuss stuff in and arround the game … somtimes out of game stuff too
its not a place where you ask stuff and a DEV or Admin will answer in no time and help you with your stuff … that can happen but no guarantee and why it should be like that?
someone asks … if you know him help him … usually you shoot each other anyways so maybe this site from the game is more help each other … ggg
ok this is a wish … not more
in this forum its more whining how bad eve is or has become … i wounder if this guys still play the game or only whine about the game … rofl …
sorry but i like EVE … ok … something here and there but its a big world and i didnt make it so it ant be exact what i would make it but its a really good game … no other game was near this level of playing … everything else … BORING!!

This thread is why CCP stopped caring, it’s the same people/alts/forum trolls arguing with each other, some with hidden agendas, without actually getting anywhere. Day in day out, year in year out.
If you clowns stopped bickering like fcking autists in this thread (and the forum itself) about how people stopped reading the forums and how bad it all is… people might start reading these forums again.
You just described reddit.
I occassionally skim through, and its amazing what utter trash people post there.
This is reddit:
And I look for threads like this:
There is nothing like this on the Eve forums:
Just exactly how long have you been a member of this community? There use to be lot’s of Dev and Community interaction till the reddit craze started up.
This is like the 3rd or 4th forum iteration that CCP has done in the past 10 years that I’ve been here and quite frankly, this forum isn’t even half as good as the last forum was. Hell, you can barely see the posters Avatar. The only thing this forum actually has going for itself is being phone friendly and allowing pictures / emojis to be posted on it, something that I don’t consider as being particularly noteworthy.
No, the reason is because some people post nothing but vitriol statements, much like the rest of your initial statement.
not 10 years … for sure … but … a forum is allways a question and answer … people to people … if devs and other CCP guys join … thats nice but you cant hope on that … but if DEVs and other CCP guys write it should be in the forums provided by CCP
i know this and the old forum … the old forum was old … you saw it so it had to get a change … i usually access this forum from my pc/notebook but i guess that there are many read from there phone or tablet … if a page/forum is not able to have a good experience on that devices its just too old …
yea the avatar is small but … i like it … why waste a lot of space for a picture?
its allways the same … like it or not … there i allways something better … better design … better looking … whatever … thats normal …

I have to agree with the OP; it’s a damned shame that CCP employees prefer to interact with us players (their customers) on non-CCP controlled platforms like reddit or Facebook/Twitter. This should be the FIRST place that information gets released rather than treated as an afterthought a couple of days later.
If CCP top management cared about customer satisfaction this issue could be cleared up by a simple memo. Instead they expect us to follow their information trails across multiple unofficial platforms, something that I refuse to do.
Yeah, sorry but I disagree about the old forums. I liked being able to easily see the portrait of the poster as well as that characters information, also the old forums had the ability to post pictures and emojis which CCP removed over time.
When I’m outside away from my computer, the last thing on my mind is using my phone to browse forums and type replies to various threads. I prefer using my computer for that, especially since it does the job much easier and quicker.
Anyway I agree, CCP’s Official Forums should be the first choice when posting in an Official manner. Problem is they’re too focused on various other ‘Social Media’ platforms instead of their own forums.
I have no problem with CCP’s developers having a presence on Reddit or any other site outside these forums, but I would have an issue with them engaging faster and more frequently in some matters using an “unofficial” resource. As an owner of two companies, one of which has an international footprint, every employee is expected to support the company both in an official capacity (product or service), as well as being held responsible for their some of their actions outside the plant/company. I would expect my employees, when acting in any official capacity (commenting or acting using a job title, for example), to first utalyze the company’s approved resources/ products and follow company rules.
While there is a past history of EVE developers fully engaging in the official CCP forums, I would also argue that there has been a noticable trend for more of the discussion about EVE in all it’s aspects to be held off site from the official forums. The reason is probably variable depending on each developer, whether it be the feeling of less restraint or closer kinship to the “type” of people prevalent at each location, but it is happening more and more frequently. While CCP shouldn’t stop “offsite” interaction by its developers, it should encourage and insist that the use of official company resources be used as the first and primary form of communication. For the most part, I feel they already do that. However, the gutting of the Community Relations group has probably caused certain restrictions and rules to become less rigid as fewer people are asked to interact with the community. The problem is caused by the blurring of the lines and roles of the devs; sometimes judgement calls are less than correct, especially whether or not determining if an action follows company rules.
It is cheaper to post on someone else’s forums and let them foot the bill for the downstream moderation costs.
I remember when UO closed their forums altogether and directed everyone to Stratics.
Can’t beat free customer service.
And many posters not even play the game, just shittalk there.
I’d argue that a lot of the posters who shitpost here don’t actually play either.
They log on once a week or month, realize they’re still bored and log off again. Then come to the forums to shitpost. I get in that mode every now and then.
I don’t consider these guys devs more like janitors or caretakers of the game.
To me the people who worked on expansions like Trinity and Apocrypha were devs but they long gone
CCP fired them all lol. Or they quit because the game they envisioned was slowly covered in foam and padding to be child friendly.
