Anybody can kill a 5billion isk bling fit battleship with a frigate.
It is not always about character SP and fittings. It is knowing what you can realistically attack and win, or just ignore that little voice in your head that says don’t and be surprised when you do win.
If you never learned to PvP, how can you say it’s boring?
I’d bet an acorn to an oak what you think is PVP, is actually PVE. If that is the case, then yes, I agree. PVE is boring. It’s repetitive and not very challenging.
So, before you uninstall, can I have all your stuff?
No, I’m seeing you say you don’t like PvP in Eve and you also say all other activities in Eve are so much of a grind that they verge on stressing you out.
Life is too short. This time you spend complaining about things in a game that you obviously don’t like could be used to do something… Anything… That is more valuable.
That is what I don’t get. I see people join the game and find out it isn’t for them (perfectly ok) and then spend energy complaining or even worse spend energy trying to get the devs to change the core of the game for them (at the expense of people that actually signed up for and like the game).
Nope, just gonna let my toons rot or let my daughter play my accounts. She’s 8 and she sucks, y’all can gank her and feel big. I told her to block anyone who asks if she has stairs in her house. Good to go.
Oh, I thought we were joking around. You posted me the joke that you wanted my stuff and I tried to joke along with you. I thought it would maybe take some of the tension away. Sorry, I can be awkward, I wasn’t trying to attack you.
I want the game to meet my needs as an entertainment product. I don’t think that is controversial.
The game has changed significantly and will continue to. Some changes will be to make things more fun for a new player. EVE will change states or end, that’s how entropy works. It’s just a game. Tears in the rain.
One part of PvP I enjoy is avoiding being killed. There are many low effort players in Eve that pretend to be aces at the game, learning how to avoid them, and doing it effectively makes this game interesting.
Yes, avoiding being killed is definitely a part of PVP and makes the game interesting. Some of my best memories were of surviving against almost certain death. Most people ignore this aspect as there is no kill mail for busting through that gate camp.
If only “avoiding” being killed was seen as victory when it matters. Ive lost count of the amount of times I’ve had the “the fight starts before the fight starts” conversation and explained that for a miner or other PVE player, seeing the danger and not being there anymore when the danger lands on grid is in itself a PVP victory.
It doesn’t show on zkill. And you don’t get any credit for it. But it’s a victory none the less
There is far to big and emphasis placed on being able to tank damage until concord shows up.
As is often said, Eve has a high learning curve and is extremely complex. If my choice is to learn the game and train my char as much as possible why do I want to add the complexity of area’s outside of HS? From what I can tell, I’ve got another 2 - 3 years of growth available to me just in HS. As a miner/industrialist it pretty clearly is an unnecessary risk and inefficient use of training time.
I don’t get sp by changing where I live and BP’s don’t research or copy any faster that I’m aware of.
And when you’re sitting in 2.3b of (outfitted) ~$20 worth Orca just waiting for some gang to come by and and ‘enjoy their playstyle’ the space feels pretty real even if you can’t relate.
Not a single reply made any sence. Conclusion: people waste their time trying to make ISK in HS with zero reward. No gameplay fun, nothing. Wow… have fun, I guess
A lot of the replies made perfect sense. I would actually argue those who stay in HS are braver than you null krabs.
You’re hiding deep in farmland, safe behind a donut. While the plucky HS player has to dodge Aiko and other gankers constantly. In fact, I would argue the average HS denizen is in much more danger daily than you krabs.
