That’s seems like a bit of an overreach. I risk hundreds of millions of isk worth of ships every single day fighting in null against organized groups who who want nothing more than to kill me. Every single day we ping out dozens of defense fleets to fight. I motored around in hi for a year in orca and marauders and freighters and got shot a total of…once. I would agree that WH space is the real murder space, but I don’t know that hisec is somehow more dangerous.
Oh I’m sure you do.
But I’m darn certain the OP is just krabbing risk free. Hence her krab goggles are strong.
High sec is more fun when risk is involved.
Like baiting mission runners.
Stealing peoples loot. Shenanigans.
Indeed. I murder MTUs when I can. They are dangerous.
I love the mtus that gobbled up the blingy mission runner that biffed it.
Wait, you can shoot these in highsec without any trouble from CONCORD?
Yes, yes you can. It flags you suspect so it’s great for baiting mission runners.
Must be globally suspect too? Any player?
You gain the suspect flag for 15 minutes.
Anyone can shoot you without CONKORKADDEN interfearing.
I am looking forward to being a scourge in highsec from now on
There is an in game chat channel for MTU hunters. I’ll get it to you once I log in and get it.
Heh - appreciate it o7
Yes. It is satisfying to watch them burn. Those and mobile depots.
Hitting up mission hubs is always fun. I use a hecate
Hecate is very good for MTU hunting.
With maxed out small blaster and destroyer skills and void, you can take out an MTU in less than minute.
Myself and my alt have max probing skills. Happy to assist cleaning up all the space trash. If only we could get rid of the Signal Cartel garbage islands floating out in the Anoikis
And I can fly Hecates
I think I killed one of their cynos before.
I know where they do it for low sec
Funny you called it space trash.
I was in an “RP” corp and we roleplayed as environmental terrorists. Oh, no environmental activists.
We even sent letters to the garbage producers that left their MTUs laying around.
The most fun, was blowing them up right under their noses. They would get pissed at us and we told them that they left them unattended.
Of course they would argue that the MTU was not. Our reply.
“If you had been attending your MTU properly, it would be in your cargo hold and not reduced to space bits.”
I love it man. Reminds me of when I first started Eve long ago when Suddenly Ninjas was a big thing and the salvaging Vigil was their flagship. I was so inspired by that and seriously that was my hook to getting into Eve. Probably dating myself here, these are stories from like ten years ago.
Steal alll the loot and tags. Oh those tags were good money. These were the days before MTU’s or even the Noctis. I was pretty much a noob, but all the concepts I was learning with my tiny SP was so worth it. How to scan, how aggression mechanics worked and all that. The rage I’d get in local chat.
I used to think of myself as a New Eden garbageman and I’d send them invoices or like what I’d imagine as a letter from the city saying “you really need to mow your lawn or else.”
You know what else was really big back then was blogging about Eve, that seems to have really gone away in a world of Twitch and YouTube
