The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and a venue for the discussion of EVE Online. Occasionally there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Forum users are expected to courteous when disagreeing with others.
In order to maintain an environment where everyone is welcome and discussion flows freely, certain types of conduct are prohibited on the EVE Online forums. These are:
Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online if it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.
When you undock even NPC battleships are dangerous when sitting idle in space.
If you feel your larger ships are being attacked you should take the steps to be safe inside side a larger Alliance and stay inside their protection systems with the alert channel open.
Or stay docked until you no longer care for the cost of your ship and focus on your mission..
For heavens sake, are there STILL people playing EVE Online who just can’t get it through their heads EVE is a PVP game. Period. Before anything else. If you undock, you can be attacked. No one cares if you don’t WANT to PVP, The only place you are safe is docked up. So again get it through your head, EVE is PVP, just repeat it over and over and over. You have 2 choices, FIGHT or QUIT GAME.
They have 3 choices, they can just ignore players like you that don’t understand CCP doesn’t even advertise this as a PVP game.
There’s a new player handbook if you can find it and the first mention, after all the other careers, of PVP is around 15 pages in, then somewhere in the 30’s.
They advertise it to the public as a mining/missioning/industry/exploration game before anything else.
If you don’t like that either stick to your own game and don’t criticise others, or quit if you can’t cope with others playing how they wish.
Nor should they take any notice of a 12 hour old forum alt.
Lol….the only mining advert I have seen is the Youtube one with ‘ I was really tired of getting blown up by other players’…which in itself clearly indicates it is a PvP game. What’s more the person in the advert gives up mining and becomes a PvP-er themselves. So the only EVE advert for mining is ultimately a PvP advert.
Used for things that are probably going to kill you or cause grievous bodily harm, like removing a limb. You see it a lot on farm equipment and is often the only thing printed on the little red warning sign for a mine field.
