If you have billions of LP you are a big guy, but that is besides the point?

this is not a true statement .
LP , valued at up to 2k isk/LP , was a greater reward than the isk payments. using LP also avoided a large isk-faucet, and required player involvement to get items that cannot be acquired any other way.
making LP saleable would remove this involvement and allow players eg. mining in null-sec , to get items previously only available to those participating in FW .
it would further trash LP value as loads of isk and LP get dumped onto the market, making those activities less lucrative and , as you have pointed out, incentivizing bots…

No it doesent you are just trying to change the subject
It will still be a pita to cash out using items from FW stores so ISK / LP for people doing that will probably not change. Selling your LP directly in for example Jita instead of buying an item with it first and then selling that is easier so therfore the ISK / LP will be lower if you do it that way.
Being able to sell LP directly on the market does not increase the supply, so if the ISK / LP ends up dropping it will only be temporary (Unless more people start farming LP)

If it becomes possible to trade the LP on the market, most of the volume might not be in Jita, but for example State Protectorate LP would be traded in Nourvukaiken because thats where the LP store is. That would be kind of interesting because then there will a small shift in trade away from for example Jita. Isnt that fascinating to think about?
LP trading could be implemented in steps. For example today there is basic donation function to corps. Good first step.
Second step is to add an entry in the wallet ledger that show where LP came from, who you donated to, how much and so on.
Next step is to be able to put LP on contracts
Third and final step is enable buying and selling LP via the market browser.
The sooner these steps are taken the better imo.
Or a shuttle! Interbus selling BPCs of the Boobok or Leopard or Gurista Shuttle could be really funny.
