It’s something I draw attention to again and again and again as it is so consistent.
Just gank or bait some miners and haulers and take 5 bil ISK worth of loot from their wrecks.
Only if you don’t have a hauling permit.
People pass…anyone remember Vile Rat? may he rest in peace.
That’s just because of inflation, but you also have to remembers your not really making more ISK because the value of the ISK is lower. As it costs more to buy the same thing.
It is true.
CCP themselves have stated that the Main reason people unsub is because (Insert ■■■■■■■■ politically correct way of saying exactly what I said without using Ganking, and Toxic players in the paragraph).
In fact they say it all the time whenever they respond to a thread like this on the subject. (Which is rare but they have).
So EvE CCP recognizes, it is a severe problem. They just do not want to do anything about it because that would basically be breaking the players create what happens in eve code they have. However this is also ■■■■■■■■ because they break that code all the time trying to get people to leave highsec.
No, the truth is that CCP just hates the fact that highsec is not being used how they intended it, and they never intended 80% of the population never to leave it. They want 30% of the population in highsec and 70% in Low and null.
But that is not how humans work. That 70-80% of people, have no desire to hurt others without provocation. They understand that in Null and 0.0 it is “Required” generally speaking because if you do not shoot first the other person will.
The 30% thrive on this kind of thing.
CCP fails to realize they can not change human nature or evolution, especially not in a game you charge money for. And all their overwhelming support for ■■■■■■■■ does, is make people leave the game, Not come back to the game, Or for new players decide not to even give it a try.
No it isn’t. You don’t actually seem the slightest bit interested in genuine facts but just rattle on like some religious zealot.
And, of course, you can’t actually find any link to this. And even where they have said anything related…you’ve contrived your own spin on it.
Ah yes, the ‘I alone have the truth’ manner in which forum alts convert what is purely their own incredibly biased persona opinion into THE TRUTH…lol.
70 seconds into that clip is how I feel most days.
- A coursery look through the forums could find the answers you seek.
- I find it interesting that you will not accept any evidence except the evidence “you” think is valid.
- We could use more religious zealots… I’m just saying.
I’ve presented actual CCP data. All you’ve done is spun a few ’ a friend of a friend told me something ’ type yarns.
I already have infinite money, in that I will never be able to spend the money I do have in my lifetime.
That data you have presented is not player data. It is Account data. And since we already know the average player has at least 3 alts, so most of that number could easily be alts. Actual player activity can not be verified. And CCP will not release that information.
So your evidence is inaccurate, as well as circumstantial and unreliable at best.
Maybe all evidence is. Even mine. But until CCP actually releases the true number of “players” online each day/week/whatever. We have to use logic to reach a conclusion.
And if logic dictates the average player has at least 3 alt accounts (When you average all the alts compared to players as some have 25+ accounts), that means you have to cut that number into 4ths.
So “For Example” 30,000 Active accounts, is actually only 7,500 players. And in actuality I would bet that number is far lower.
What on earth are you rattling on about ? The data I presented has nothing whatever to do with how many accounts anyone has, or the true number of players. It is data showing the actual incidence of ganking of noob players…which within the first 15 days is a mere 1%.
But your ranty posts have by now made it abundantly clear you are not the least bit interested in actual facts.
Sorry just getting back from a long weekend of heavy ice mining.
The deficit was due to fines and fees to live safely in HS undisturbed, no matter the value of isk, so what Frostpacker is saying is that we will no longer be paying out rent.
(saved this space for 31st Jan rolling month reveal)
CCP have quite literally never ever stated this.
Also, EVE online’s long-term retention rate is in line with the industry average for long-form progression games (i.e. F2P/MMO titles), which is around 2-3%. It is in fact perfectly comparable to games that don’t even have any form of PvP in them, and therefore no avenues for “ganking” other players.
Logic does not dictate this.
The historic average has been 1.5 accounts per player, and in recent years that increased to about 2.5, after EVE’s player base decline, and CCP’s subsequent post-COVID push to sell the remaining players as many additional accounts as possible.
Anyway, the takeaway here is that if you don’t know anything about EVE Online or the industry it is a part of, maybe it’s not such a good idea to make wild, unsubstantiated claims and accusations as if you do.
Not going to purchase Plex. Going to purchase CCP.
- Hire the best damn UI person in the world to come in and make the windows and control systems work better.
- Kill the new starmap and go back to the old one while adding some new intel functions on it
- Allow the ship artists to diversify the ship models - no pirate ship would ever have an empire model again. No two empire ships would share the same model.
- Kill all FPS projects. Just shut them the F down. Give CCP singular focus on Eve in total purity.
- Start updating the music, adding tracks, re-recording some of the older ones to improve them. Probably hire Hanz Zimmer to make it work right.
- Update all of the missions and anomalies so that there are unpredictable outcomes possible. Have the rats warp in, not just appear or be sitting there. Have them undock by coming out of station portals. Have them light cynos and bridge in reinforcements. Randomize the maps. Randomize the structures.
- Make blowing ■■■■ up more fun. When you blow up a battlestation or a habitation module, have it drop people, drugs, booze, journals with entries, and increase the diversity of these materials so that they tell a story that is complicated and interesting.
- Change exploration so that instead of just scanning down sites with cans and running them you end up in an interesting place that is highly randomized and has interesting and spooky stuff in it.
- Change the way sleepers work. Have them do things like steal modules off of your ship if they get too close and start pulling it apart.
- Make it so even sites in high sec put all participants inside in suspect mode on entry. Turn them into bloodbaths with a nice payout
- Hire someone smarter than me to analyze the way sov works and how alliances are set up - start taking steps to break up huge alliances and encourage more corp level activity and less Mittens type crazy level BS that makes a blue donut.
- Start selling beautiful models of the ships - nice ones that are finished and also glue-together models for others. Get Lego to make some of the ships.
- Start selling the wearables that your toon has as merch. Anyone want a leather Serpentis jacket with a high collar? Maybe some of you ladies might like some of the Blood Raiders leggings? Gurista beret anyone? Eve backpacks with ships embroidered on them, the Eve logo, stargates, whatever images, clothing, and cool gear you guys will buy.
- Not sure skill injectors were a good idea. Ask some smart people if they should be removed from game.
- Not sure unlimited multiboxing is good for the game. Help gankers find them and kill them with better bot and multiboxing detection so that in-game deterence instead of game policies handle the problem. Maybe give them 20 man filaments that drop them right on top of someone we detect botting, AFK, or otherwise doing something they shouldn’t like RMT.
- Come up with a real bounty system where someone being killed in a ship that is valuable enough will only then drop a particular kind of item for pickup and delivery to a contract in exchange for payment - forcing the situation so that the bounty payment is less than the value of the ship killed, but bounty rights allow for some PVP in revenge by hired guns.
- Fix the situation where solo play is possible in most areas of space with PVE improvements and PVP limitations on solo players with no one to come to their aid.
Those are just some ideas. You may hate them. I would ensure I was not just enacting my ideas but using a committee of wise people to help make these decisions to balance types of gameplay to allow Eve to be refined without destroying anything interesting in it other than botting.
So basically, if you had infinite money, you’d kill the game, and then use your infinite money to keep the empty servers running?
