CCP - any plans for those in 2024?
Always liked those, although they degraded over time…
Last year my main got one saying I was in the top 1% of number of stargate jumps.
CCP only did personal video stats for 2019, 2020 and 2021…
For 2022, they just featured a video that showcased percentages of Capsuleer activities in New Eden… However that video did highlight the top 3 ranking Capsuleers in each of those activities… CCP also sent everybody an Email with their character name and it’s percentage stats in various Eve activities…
For 2023 CCP sent another Email with character name and it’s percentage stats in various Eve activities… No Capsuleer percentage stats video, this time CCP basically highlighted game activities with a ‘Year In Eve’ video…
For 2024, no Email sent… yet… However CCP did release another ‘Year In Eve’ video highlighting game activities…
Anyway, I highly doubt it’ll ever happen but it would be cool if they did personal video’s again…
EDIT:
Corrected the timeline and actions done for ‘Year In Eve’ stuff…
Here’s last december. Just a mail.
At the lack of interest CCP has shown in giving us a year end compilation of our game highlights, this year will probably be worse. It’ll be how much you spent on PLEX and SP or something.
Though I hope I’m wrong. I used to look forward to my compilation video.
Mr Epeen
Ahh, that’s right, thanks…
Seems I mis-remembered the actions and timeline of what CCP did for the ‘Year In Eve’ stuff…
Will update my original post…
Edit:
After checking again it seems I was partly correct so yeah, will edit my original post again…
I’d be happy with an email.
Wow, there are some serious bragging rights in this thread! In my case I felt a sense of accomplishment for any stat that I got single digits in. ^^
But nice to see that I’m not the only one who liked this little end of year treat.
Let’s hope for the best!
I really would like to see them, It’s my favorite thing at the end of each year
Good morning, it’s the 31st now in my timezone and still no mail, video, announcement, whatsoever from CCP - this ain’t looking good any longer I fear …?
I hoped to see some interesting numbers this year but it seems you are gonna fail this one. Sadly I feel you are failing your own game too - another nice idea/feature discontinued without any need or reason. Actually something that could be done with very moderate effort (run some scripts at your databases and autogenerating a mail/or omg a video).
Little treats like that are actually the things that can give your customers a sense of accomplishment/satisfaction and recognition (massproduced or not).
And these are the things that actually help strenghten the longterm motiviation of players, especially for those that look beyond the obvious kill statistics… you dont need those?
2025 Roadmap…
Happy New Year.
In our dreams, Arthur.
@Red_Sains No end-of-year anything I think. It takes dev time to do that hence money and CCP don’t have any to spare since they’re repelling more players than they’re acquiring.
Last year’s summary already made me sad:
This year you spent 32 hours in EVE Online,
which puts you in the top 22 % of all players.
We hope you’ve enjoyed your time in New Eden!
top 22% …
I got a couple of yearly summaries on two of my alts including one video, nothing to gush over or gleefully anticipate.
What’s even sadder for CCP is that 22% of players spent less than 32h in the game for the whole year! But Nooo, lack of immersion isn’t a problem.
I’d really like to know what the number was for 2024…
Well, I been around since 2016 and since then CCP has managed to alienate and lose between 5 and 8 percent of their players every year so for 2024 I figure that less than 18% of players spent more than 30h in the game for the whole year.
If this trend continues, by 2030 there will only be a dozen players left each with a thousand alts
It would be nice to know how many hours of EVE I played so I can set a New Year’s Resolution to:
• Play more (earn more)
• Play less (pay less)
Fixed it for ya
You are all so sad that you couldn’t figure out that the base for these statistics surely includes inactive pilots?

Except it doesn’t.

Doesn’t mean their statistics are 100% accurate, but including inactive pilots would have lead to drastically different results.
