Abyssal Deadspace now live on Singularity for testing

I think I am done testing till I see some meaninful change or repsonses from the devs. If they are going to make them as difficult as they are they need to eliminate the permadeath mechanic and allow t3’s.

I gave up too. Too repetitive and imbalanced.

I am sure that bugged battleship spawn will get balanced. There is nothing problematic in asking people to risk their ships in order to get loot - that is exactly what we need. There is enough content that just lets you sell your grindtime, like mining, mission running, anom running. If you have to take a serious risk of losing your ship to gain certain items, the price of these items will reflect that - since selling them for more than the average cost of ship replacements per item would be uneconomical. Allowing stronger shiptypes to enter the site would mean making it easier and thereby force CCP to reduce the droprates in order to aim for the loots desired target value / availability (which i fear is set too rare in case of multiplasmids), rewarding grinding (time) instead of smart player behaviour or risk management.

There is an excellent post further up which elaborates other approaches to make the feature less grindy and deserves a bump: Abyssal Deadspace now live on Singularity for testing - #489 by Fzhal

I legit feel like this needs to be delayed. Seems way too imbalanced to be releasing so soon.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

Expensive pods are required along with maxed out skills and faction/deadspace mods to have maybe50% survival chance against certain spawns and you can get as reward 3-4 ammo bpcs components for trig ships and maybe a mutaplsmid or 2 on average to me investing about3bil+ in ship and pod is not worth it when on top of the rats we got a guaranteed death at 20mins too which given the ehp on some rats you either make the timer or not

So first go do alot of sites,I think I got to about 300 and let me know if it feels fair and balanced after

If we could keep the discussion on content matter without personal assaults that would help the cause.

A 3b ship with expensive pod might not be the cost minimizing solution for the task. I think so far we all agree that the amount of loot in multiplasmids is too little.

Go do the sites like I stated above.Grab a stack of tier4 and 5 filaments your choice of penalties and let us know how it goes

Ships, yes. But since you get podded as well - no. And as I indicated, this is only half the battle. Should by some small miracle you manage by survive the Abyssal pocket, you then have to run the gauntlet of gankers happily awaiting your return.

And the reward? A better than even chance of bricking a T2 module or one of the sub-par Trig ships. Provided you can find the uber expensive components to manufacturer, fit and arm it - that is. And then you get to run the ganker gauntlet again just undocking because these things will be loot pinatas for the foreseeable future.

So again, I ask: How is this supposed to be fun?

You can shift value from pods to the ships fit and the other way around. It’s a fixed amount of Isk you take into the pocket. With the current mechanic, the probability of someone waiting out there to gank you [for HS runners] will be close to zero because hunters cannot actually know if they can fight the target they scanned down since only some sites give you a suspect timer. (and i expect the majority of HS site runners to do non-suspect pockets if available)

The reward is a value in ISK determined by supply and demand. What exact functionality it provides will determine that price alike as any other factor, but that’s secondary. In my expectations the greatest demand will be in multiplasmids - which is the reason i am worried about their very small supply due to the low droprate.

I loathe how people talk about supply and demand as if just saying the words proves their points… As if those are the only things involved…
As everything is currently, supply COSTS will be higher than demand…
As things are, anyone who will run F4+ on TQ will not do so for long.

tier 5 firestorm ishtar room 1 drone swarm used a light supressor all died decently fast room 2 9xtrig damaged battleships this time i ran away near the arena edge deployed ogres and let the drones chew on the bss.As far as the bss their dmg is very high if you commit to a brawl i skirted along their 'deathball’geting in range of about 5-6 once and lost about 4k armor in notime, rest of the fight ogres chewed on their disgustingly high combined ehp despite each having maybe 4k shield only 33% armor and 25% structure it’s about 10k hp before resists for each bs,their resists are quite low tho compared to drone bs,they also gave up on chasing me after they moved what appeared like 30km from the gate then went back to huging it.Last room drone swarm again deployed lights scooped lights deployed light endless cycle of annoyance now that drone swarms love shooting drones.

The vedmak rush group with lots of neuts i still have no reliable solution toward and by looks of it and knowing ccp the trig bss will get buffed to destroy drones soon enough which only has us left with the cerberus.

My funniest solution to the vedmak group thus far is run to arena edge wait for them to try and orbit and bump into the edge which’ll reduce their speed that’ll improve your tracking or drone acuracy.

My prediction: if the new sites are balanced around ship and pod loss as it looks like now, it will become niche content and basically dead on arrival.

PvE with design or RNG-based loss will not work for the masses.

At one time HQ incursions were considered death traps… they are now some of the best isk in game for the risk

Having a high death rate means that the pilots will have to use T1 cruisers, have you tested these in lower tiers?

CCP mentioned something about groups eventually getting a mod that will allow them into the site together (think it was more allow pvpers into the site to cause problems but this is the other use for that item), this might be why T4/5 is so hard atm as it is being prepped for the group play

This is where things are at less than 3 weeks before release? This doesn’t raise serious warning flags for anyone else?

3 weeks is at least a decent amount of time for adjustment’s and balancing. But so far I’m not touching t5’s with a long stick on TQ.

Looks like more new spawn types are on their way sleeper frigs cruisers and bs and trig frigs and cruisers with drones aswel as a new structure that buffs rogue drones speed and dmg and nerf speed and dmg of our own drones no stats yet

Where are you seeing these btw.

Hoboleaks new files scroll to bottom

This large command and control structure relays orders to any Triglavian-aligned rogue drones within local space. Its powerful signals also appear to interfere with the operation of capsuleer-controlled drones.

+20% velocity and +10% damage for all local rogue drones
-30% velocity and -15% damage for all local capsuleer-controlled drones

“48153 - Drone_Implant6” xD I feel like a lot of people are going to be really happy.

Thank’s that is an awesome as hell site! and damn I didn’t realise how much was changed loot’s like a crap ton of work went into it.

The droprates on any Mutaplasmids in all tiers of sites seem awefully low. Considering there are 3 x 25 different kinds of them + 6 for Ancillary modules, and taking into account the amounts needed to create something non-crappy, an average of < 1 Mutaplasmid per site predictably leads to this entire mechanic being a tiny little niche.

Hands on the table: are you abandoning Mutaplasmids?
