I would like to suggest a quality-of-life (QoL) improvement for the skill management system.
Currently, managing a long Skill Queue or organizing complex Training Plans can be tedious when you want to optimize your training order based on time.
The Proposal:
Add a sorting option (a toggle or dropdown) in both the main Skill Queue and Training Plans interfaces to automatically sort skills:
By Training Time / SP needed for the next level: Allowing players to sort from shortest to longest (ascending) or longest to shortest (descending).
Why this would be useful:
It would make it incredibly easy to quickly clear out short skills (like Level I to III) to get immediate benefits before tackling long, multi-week Level V skills.
It saves a lot of manual drag-and-dropping when setting up new training plans or cleanups after buying skill injectors.
What do you think? I would love to hear feedback from both the community and the devs!
A lot of times when I’m adding skills to the skill queue, I have to manually sort them into order starting with lv 1 shortest training time, then sort the skill queue again while mixing in lv 2 shortest training time, then again for lv 3, etc…
I’m talking about various skills with different training times per level so for example it could be lv 1 and lv 2 of a specific skill followed by a different lv 1 skill, then lv 3 of the previous skill, then lv 2 of the following skill, etc…
I usually have my skill queue set to go for 2 to 3 months so yeah, I basically do a lot of sorting to always have the shortest skill lv training time at the top of the queue…
Another useful option would be sorting by remaining training time, especially when a queue contains skills with partially trained levels. It would make it much easier to see which skills can be completed before a planned login, fleet, or downtime.
Rather than having each change to the Training Queue be applied (send to the server) to the queue line by line, which causes major lags while the changes takes effect, instead make managing the Training Queue client side only, and once all changes the players wants has been made, they would “Save Changes” (submit) and the entire Training Queue is send to the server as one big list to replace the Training Queue that currently on the server (in the database).
