Ok, not trying to shock you here bra, but did you know that all your efforts and bitter tears you shed here about a problem you only suspect and are in no position to be even certain about actually exists, are completely and utterly wasted.
There is an item introduced even before alpha that let’s you create as many almost completely free suicide gank alts as you want. It is called the “skill extractor”. A gank alts has a limited requirement of useful SP after which you can just drain him of the omega SP that accumulate over a month and sell them for a new PLEX for another month of omega.
Maybe there are some people that gank with alpha accounts. The fact is, that is completely inefficient and stupid given that you could just get an almost free omega alt that is far more efficient and legally multiboxable.
So what are you trying to achieve here in the end? That stupid people are forced to gank more efficiently?
That is one thing this would achieve. The second thing, and this is why I’m against it is that ACTUAL new alpha pilots are walled off from highsec piracy and that is just a bad thing. Removing interesting content no matter how niche without replacement is just not good for the game and will not attract more people.
PS: I don’t argue against you, or Daichi or Pedro… I just argue against concepts that I think are bad for the long-term viability of EVE. I back my arguments up with fact, precedent or example wherever I can, but in most cases they’re still just my opinion. You say reasonable things at times, Daichi does fairly often, Pedro does most of the time… and all those opinions have validity in different areas.
In this particular case it’s pretty clear a mountain is being constructed from a molehill - hard for either of us not to notice that.
Given that Daichi, Pedro and I are almost always completely aligned that probably means I can just articulate myself very poorly. Something I should maybe work on then
AYPABTU’s recent activity includes a handful of medium high sec structure kills in Osmon, owned by 1-10 man corps that you’ve never heard of. They have 36 kills in February, 20 in January, and 9 in the combined fourth quarter of 2019.
They are almost objectively beneath notice.
Pandabeer is a day old character whose entire posting history is whining about AYPABTU.
These guys are not operating at a scale where “interested third parties” even exist, so the idea that you’re just here advocating on behalf of AYPABTU’s victims (who are DEFINITELY not you, of course) is kind of laughable.
How about giving alphas an sp award for doing pvp ? It would make so many people happy.
On a more serious note: if OP suspects foul play he can make a ticket to Eve support and have the matter looked into. If it’s against the rules, action will be taken. If not he can post his idea in the Player Ideas&Features section.
You’re not as smart as you think Sherlock. I’ve never fought these guys and they’ve certainly not destroyed anything I own. Nor I them. Again, never been involved with them.
