I haven’t run burners in a while but I did give a few of them a go today and they still seem fine from what I can tell. Still, always keep an eye out for changes to eve that may or may not affect the fits used or the missions in the guide and even then some changes aren’t always in the patch notes either

So ran into an issue testing The Rogue Slave Trader 1 of 2. The Slave Pens did not spawn for me. I pu in a bug report but for now that mission is bugged.
has been working fine for me. I think the slave pen is a large collidable structure so it doesn’t show up on a typical mission overview, and the bracket doesn’t show in space if you are zoomed out far enough.
One fo the things I checked. I enabled large collidable objects (beacon showed up) and I zoomed in and out, used the approach command from the mission window, etc. It just wasn’t there. None of my settings or overview settings changed but I was thinking about doing a clean Eve install anyways. Will see if it pops up next time I get the mission.
Remember there are two collidables in overview settings, “Large Collidable Object” under Celestial and “Large Collidable Structure” under Entity. Sadly there seems to be considerable confusion as to which is which.
Anize, your guide was one of the tools I used when i first got into Burners. I still run Dread Pirate Scarlet every time I get it thanks for putting it together.
Issues I noted in your guide :-
Anomic Agent Dramiel - Angel Burner lists Anti Matter S. Almost all other guides use Void. You also recommend Cap Booster 25’s which is really cutting it fine. 400’s are better suited if you run into problems.
Anomic Agent Succubus - Sansha Burner lists Ion Blasters where as most guides use Neutron which is a faster kill.
Based on your guide and that of Jori McKie’s I have done hundreds of burner missions. I update Yadot’s Burner Mission Blog each time I complete one with the fit which should help with patch issues.
when I kill the first talos, instead of calling back my drones to hangar, I ask them to orbit me. one talos is usually redboxing, when it’s not the three, so I keep orbiting the first talos. When it dies though one of the two other are yellow boxing me so putting my drones to orbit mitigates the damage.
Actually, the only dangerous one is the first one, because 1- your obit command is sometimes crappy and 2- the THREE burners can decide at any moment to swith aggro from drones to you, and do wreccking hits
The second one, I orbit until the last is yellowing me, then I approach and call my drones to orbit me.
The third one, as soon as my drones are out he attacks them. even if my trajectory goes straight in his face I tank it.
I operate in nullsec, and distribution mechanics are downright bizarre here. Also, burner site distribution changes every quarter. I don’t know why and how it happens, but it happens and it’s basically halted my own attempts to build burner site distribution models.
Posting this here too because I want to save you guys from losing 300+ mil ships to this, but…
THE LAST PATCH SHADOW-BUFFED BURNER AGENT HP BY 30-40%!! IF YOUR FIGHTS WERE TIGHT ON RESOURCES THEN YOU WILL PROBABLY DIE NOW!!!
I have 4 people now in my group that can confirm the Serpentis Agent rat has something like 40% more armor HP. If you used the Harpy it can no longer kill this rat, sorry.
I have 2 other people that can also confirm the Angel and Sansha agent rats have been buffed as well by around 30% shield HP. Again, if these were tight fights with your setups then those will probably not work anymore.
I will be testing the Blood Agent later and a couple of the Bases. So far, damage application and incoming damage are identical.
Anomic Teams appear to be totally unaffected. We can clear them in the exact same time frames as before.
Also on a personal level, I am so very upset with CCP right now. If they had said they were buffing the Burner rat HP in the patch notes, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN JUST FINE!! But no, nothing, so you enter these deadly sites unaware of the fact that hey the fights now last considerably longer, so if your fits are kill-before-being-killed then too bad you’ll just die. Fantastic!
