LOL you obviously weren’t on their radar.
I’ve lived in nul for years and the last time i saw a goon swarm member was the day i evacuated my stuff.
Doesn’t mean Goons aren’t an oppressive group

Perhaps you should check which group BBTB is in. We do occassionally have different opinions, you know. ![]()
SO looking forward to the New Call of Duty / Ghost Recon / Star Citizen / Elite Dangerous
Instead, Blops and Force Recons should have a built in cyno INHIBITOR.
Mate I’ve been on Hawks/HK radar since the start. I’ve known the CEOs of both groups for the majority of my time in wormhole space, and not always on good stead. And now, having been in Hawks since the start of the year, the only thing you could even vaguely construe as ‘oppressive’ is the attempt to evict HOSA which got ■■■■■■ up on SOUND’s account anyway. And I think we killed a C2 Sotiyo because the idiot kept taunting someone expecting no response.
So, I’ll ask you again: How do you see them as oppressive? Give me some examples.
https://zkillboard.com/corporation/98488864/ this is me. I rarely use a capital, much less a super. I find it much more entertaining doing gimmicky hilarious stuff. I have also cloaky camped a region for almost an entire year straight without leaving. I’m fairly confident I’m well rounded on this stuff.
So yes people over-react, just as people would over-react if they were at a house party with a bunch of friends and some guy comes in trying to fight everyone who nobody knows. It’s natural.
The thing about EVE is the majority of players are dumb though, and you don’t see reactions with them, b/c they are dumb and not involved with the party. Also some of the people at the party are over confident and do edgy risky ■■■■ that ultimately exposes them to significant vulnerabilities that can be capitalized on. This, however, requires attention to detail and knowledge of your target area.
The more changes like this you keep pushing for the more those dumb people disappear till you dry up the fishing hole into a group of pure polished pve+pvp types where you get dumpstered no matter what strategy you try. No matter what change you introduce, these guys are going to have the upper hand. No more capitals? That’s fine, they drop a cerb or muninn fleet or something that completely counters you. This is the whole issue - you’re pressuring these lumps of coals into diamonds you can’t scratch. These changes are not the ones you want to make in order to increase the vulnerability of your foe in EVE - you have to throw out low hanging fruits that the effortless want to feed on that create vulnerable opportunities you can exploit - and this is not that, it’s quite the opposite.
hey CCP Rise, I hear that citadels are still a safe place in eve and can protect players and keep their caps safe… mind doing something about that for us covops hunters? Also nerfing citadels could help us evict delve.
I think this update is in the right direction, but severely misguided, I want to see counter plays buffed not things turbonerfed. I think a better update would be to buff cyno inhibs and how they operate rather than kill play styles. A nerf to long range capitals weapons would also help so that inhibs could be a bit more useful and effective. Additionally changing the ways cynos affect the ships they are placed on, maybe something similar to the warp core stabs would be neat, maybe reduced resists or damage or something along those lines. Capitals are an important part of the game and killing them isn’t gonna help, its really gonna force casual players, like myself, who dabble with capitals out. All in all I just think there are better ways of handling this.
just get a blops. literally this is making battleship doctrines kinda more relevant again. Whereas dreads just tear through them. this makes it harder to get those caps on grid. Its making some content relevant again. Like, think about marauders, it might be just feasible to use those again. At least more than it was…
Blops suck tho
Reading through all these replies, I swear…eventually the blue-balled PVP’ers are just going to ask for a button they can click to get kills.
They’ll log in for the day…click the button a bunch of times, then hit the forums and tell all the people who spontaneously combusted to “get good”. It’s the logical conclusion of these nerfs.

This sounds good to me. Problem is that it requires more~effort~ from CCP
not if u know how to use them or fit them right. They have specific roles in a fleet/hunter fleet and now they have even more roles… either getting secondary tackle and lighting the cyno to bring in caps or bridging in the recon to bring in the next escalation. Blops are rly fun. put the super carrier away and use something not stupid overpowered that takes some brains to use.
I was dropping on an ishtar in a belt the other day solo. Killed him and as I was killing him, I had 2 other neutral legions decloak 40km from me and burn straight for my blops. I finished off the ishtar and MJD’d out of there and even got my hunter out. They are fun and can do pretty good damage but they have their flaws. They aren’t safe thats what make them fun. You actually have to use your brain to fly them.
you’re literally some goonswarm capital alt that shoot POS’s and barely logs in.
The problem is they are quite expensive and take a long time to develop, similarly if this does go through then they would only become more expensive. This is part of my point that it would force casual players out, we dont have the time or resources to support dedicated SP intensive cynos. Plus caps and organized fleets will eat blops for breakfast, and if you ever see a blops you would immediately primary it. Now most of these problems are a bit specific to me, but i still think they are valid and that i am not the only casual cap pleb.
boo at least add in hics and dictors to the mix
If a T3 is running the covert ops subsystem can it light a cyno? Its running the same role as a Force recon or corert ops
That’s good on you, covert cynos are for covert ships and they can work well in those applications. However, applying the logic of covert cynos and solo/smallgang to capital and large scale pvp is a bit silly. if you were in a battle where a capital escalation were to occur your little Blops would be stuck immobilized and helpless as a fleet full of nerds with raging boners for a 2bil blops kill primary you and kill you while your fax is still in the jump tunnel.
I have to say goodbye to you CCP.
Awful logistics in the game, you make it even worse.
Awfully stupid decision.
It is a pity that it touched logistics.
