I love this
No you just have to be patiant and play with corpmate to have at least one alt cyno by players.
You want all and now that will not happen if you want to do it solo and without S-hit injector.
So you will try this yourself with a super? Right… Then come back and tell us how it went for you.
I think you missed the whole thing. Only Force Recons and Blops can light cynos…
I think you can’t read.
Note that nothing about Stealth Bombers, Covops, Expedition Frigate (Prospect) was changed. They can all still light Covert Cynos, which JFs can now utilize.

Have you heard the term Baby Steps? Why not start with a maybe making it work on cruiser level ships and up. You have to let everyone get comfortable first before you drop a bolder on their heads.
OK credit it where it’s due CCP Rise did a good job of explaining the issues and reasons for the changes Anger subsiding. Suggestion never let Hilmar talk to the community again lol.
I agree with you. Its a cheap ass change for CCP but it will be an expensive change for the players. They will have to buy skill injectors and new ships and lets not forget moving those ships in place again just not to have their stuff stranded. I would say this was well thought out buy CCP to increase profits in short period of time…
I think its a good start. Alot of people want a spool up on cynos but what i think would be more appropriate is deployable cynos. Like deployable bubbles they would need to anchor for a short time and kept alive via reps. At first dropping them only from blops and force recons would be more inline with how those ships work. Sneaky cloaky ships that are suddenly locked in place for a long time doesnt seem right.
hmm since CCP already lose alot of old players they have to think something more stupid then blackout. GG CCP
Jump Freighters will be allowed to use Covert Cynos.
Plz give Cloak Jump Freighters .
The best change. It will become clear why jumping on Covert Cynos.
This will take the fun out of hotdropping and baiting with cyno’s.
Things a PvP nullsec player likes to do…
Not to mention leaving your recon ship out to dry when using a normal cyno, maybe they also need a shorter cycle time?
they (force recons) already have a 50% reduction to cycle time as role bonus.
What are you talking about with “this kills eve”?
This only affects capitals and supers. It does nothing else to any other part of the game. While I am a big capital nerd with capitals in the high double digits, I don’t actually dislike this.
This helps to create interesting small scale pvp while it deters making any fight anywhere a potential mass-blob. If a group wants to bring capitals to defend or attack something they actually have to prepare something and risk something, and not just take out a gun on any cruiser and fit a 1 million isk cyno…
If you really need to rat in a supercarrier/titan you can now be sure, that not every god damn ship could potentially cyno caps up your ass. To Titanbridge Interdictors to a ratting super you now need to actually risk 3-500 mil in an nonmoving target. I’d say this actually makes super-ratting safer. If you know you want to bring in capitals you better bring a force recon now and have it next to you! No more “oh, we didn’t plan on this, but lets jump in capitals now”.
The only thing I find a bit bothersome is, that I liked to use carriers to move my fitted ships. And my cynos very often get shot by hostiles because cynos run a loooong looong time. Risking 2 Force Recons for 10 minutes each just to jump forth and back a carrier to get some cruisers for pvp/pve? That’s quite excessive and it will often be better just to buy new, unrigged ships and transport them with a JF.
How about changing the size of unpacked ships to the same as their packed counterparts and slim down the fleet hangars to compensate? Oh and the size of wormholes etc ^^
It will proliferate now almost extinct “falcon alts” - they will be able to uncloak and screw someone’s solo/small gang experience again although in a completely different way than before ECM change.
@Ms_Steak
So what? If a 300-500mil squishy cloaky cruiser shows up and stops moving (cyno) and the new ECM mechanics allow me to attack it as much as I want: Roam success! Juicy target found!
I have to ask, what is the design behind doing this. The last change made it to where you had to be in a capital to be relatively safe. However, you are now making it to where the main reason for being in a capital doesn’t apply. It feels like these changes have really just been to cause destruction. The null blocks will be fine and nothing will change.
I just have to wonder, what is the end goal here?
No more 100% safe
I cannot believe how many people are saying its too risky to use a recon to cyno with but people have been doing it for years and years… If your corp/alliance cannot afford a few recons to move caps around maybe you cannot afford to use caps, don’t risk what you cannot afford to replace.
