You seem to asume a fair bit as it fits you…
You have yet to state which parts you cannot do with one account.
Which parts of the game can you not access with just one account?
I have never seen a popup message saying something like “you need 2 or more accounts to access this part of the game”.
You asumed i said at the same time, yet i said let’s put up a ten year plan to train all the different aspect of the game into one account. having multiple accounts is what makes the game fun, this is where ccp get their money from (also), This increase will lesser the amounts of accounts people have, thus making the game less fun. And, it’s not a matter of rage-quitting or biomassing, just less money for ccp.
You don’t need a 10 year skill plan, you can buy and inject skill points. What you’re doing is called hyperbole.
That’s the problem aswell… $$$ - ptw or go farm exactly what everyone else is doing as they follow the ingame economy. You get stuck in the meta and it isn’t fun. No fun, lesser players, no growth.
I am all for rewarding more SP for doing activities in space, like other MMO’s do to level up. I would even like to see many skills removed as they’re outdated and cleaned up, and background skilling removed/reduced and SP via buying and rewarding.
I think you take the game too seriously and it’s become a job/chore rather than fun. So what if you don’t make so and so ISK/hr.
Not at all, i still love to log on with my own armada of alts, doing the stuff that i’m doing. But with ever increasing ingame purchases and turning the game into a mobile eco-module ptw, i see no need for a increase in the monthly fee. ccp needs to fix the game before asking for more money and not use eve as a wallet for their other projects before turning a profit.
The game’s end of lifeing, it exists to fund other game development. Eve has a limited future as it is. Few more years left didn’t they say? One problem, still waiting on the successor product to take off.
If so, then they would benefit from decreasing their monthly fee. Tbh, the way they have run this game, i’m not sure i’m going to join into more ccp adventures. unless eve 2 anyone?
The “little things” thread says it all, fix the easy things to appease the paying player. That means no “big things” as that distracts from other developments.
as i said
Thanks for the headsup. At least you didn’t spring this price increase on the players from one day to the next so you’re improving I’d say.
I will say no more about this increase in PLEX and Omega. Whatever anyone says it’s clear that it won’t make a bit of difference.
Enjoy losing more subs.
I do not see multiple characters as the problem and understand why you want specialists without spending a decade specializing in everything; but you do not need to play those differently trained accounts simultaneously, I reckon?
That was exactly what the 3 parallel characters and ‘extra skill queue’ functionality for one account was meant to allow, without allowing multi-boxing.
You may rightly argue that there should not be the maximum of 3 characters (or any maximum, really), but otherwise it should fit your bill - or do I misunderstand you (not my intention; I want to understand this as much as I can)?

Peak Eve
Despite quitting a year or so ago, I still check on this game, it holds a special place in my heart.
I must admit I take a sort of sick pleasure in seeing it go up in flames to possibly make space for something healthier, better built, but hopefully just as in depth.
the biggest problem is CCP have all the tools for a better solution and a better way to sell it they i believe current management is to close to there problems
a better solution is
keep alpha as is 1x training 5.000.000 sp max
keep omega as it is 2x training (don’t alienate the players you have )
keep in game plexing and multi piloting as is
CREATE Omega+ give it 3x training this is the thing you sell or push as a way to start catching up to those veteran players as the top tier product its twice the price
putting up base omega price will in the short term earn more but as time goes on and players asses cost revenue will plummet along with log in numbers and no amount of daily giveaways will artificially cover it
CCP chose to go with SP injectors to catch up and expert systems to fill gaps for new players until they’re skilled.
What we could have is more SP rewarding for in space activities like other MMO levelling. They have it that way to encourage/reward playing the game, not this lazy background skilling stuff.
Also review the skills as many can be removed imo as they’re out of date, jump clones for a start can go imo.
See my topics on it here Suggestion for changes to jump clones and Change the rewarding system to reward logged in activity rather than logged out or idleness.
Little merc corps were fun. I guess there are still a few out there, but I don’t see them.
i was trying to keep to the tract of the blog not deviating to much nor did i overtly comment about long established things all ready in the game except to comment on a pricing change that i feel will greatly negatively affect the player numbers and CCP’s proposed way to increase revenue but to think in terms of options within the current game framework
is a standing practise i personally don’t agree with the in game selling of skill injectors too much are they a part of the Trifactor of botting but i do agree with skill extractors as a method of skill modification
this practise of giving skill points out diminishes the life of accounts by over 2 months a year with the daily giveaways. Mixed daily challenge goals to rewards would require more extensive work and tailoring to indervigual play styles
i did read through all posts and considered what was on point rather than going at tangents
