If you have not yet, head on over to YouTube and listen to CCP Paragon salt away on Rush Lock Medias channel. Its worth a listen to gain insight on how CCP really feels about it.
My neighbor has a little white yappy poodle type puppy, it sits in the window and snarls and yaps at everyone who passes by and looks its way. Much the same. CCP should have not let this guy loose.
To rich for me, this is over a 5$ increase(before taxes) to my Omega costs alone, then theres the exchange rate charge of $1.25. So this increase takes my cost for my one account to over 27$ Canadian per month to play Omega and then given i canāt make enough to finance my game through IG activity on one account i spend on average 60$ Canadian buying a few plex so people can kill me. For me to be able to play now it will be over $120 per month sadly i did not receive a 30% pay raise to cover the inflation of inept Nations and Governments of the world
And people wonder why i hate people.

@CCP_Swift Actually, I donāt think itās a bad thing that prices are being increased, even against the background that they have been unchanged for almost 20 years. Now comes a big BUT, which is why I think it is at least the wrong time or the wrong way (at the moment):
- It feels like CCP hasnāt exactly been popular with EVE Online community lately. The reasons for this are sufficiently named in the forum, Reddit and co. The current announcement adds fuel to the fire.
- Against the context of current events such as supply problems caused by Corona politics or wars, inflation prevails in many countries, which drives up the prices for basic needs (EVE is not one of them for most people!) massively.
- There is nowhere near enough new content that would be possible and some bugs have existed for years without being fixed. Thus, I donāt see some statements from your dev blog as fulfilled (e.g. ā[ā¦]
careful rebalancing to achieve the best quality of experience, and welcome technological updates
[ā¦]ā). So there is also no increase in quality which is why the a price increase is not justified. - Compared to other MMOs, it would be quite expensive (based on MMOs I know).
What would be your alternative:
However, there is some alternative, which has been mentioned several times in the forum (certainly also on Reddit and co.). There is a lot that the community would be willing to spend money on. As examples:
- Omega for a few days (e.g. for 3, days or 7 days); of course for more PLEX than for 30 days.
- Custoums skins (possibly at corporation or alliance level) for ships AND stations; perhaps with an expiry date of e.g. three months.
- Character name changes for real money/plex
In consideration of the points listed above, I ask you to seriously reconsider the time period for the price increase. The CSM (especially @Brisc_Rubal , as I notice few contributions from the other CSM members in the forum compared to him.) and the community are certainly willing to discuss and find viable alternatives/compromises with you.

Socialist in general fail biggly. It has never worked in any country not totally homogenous. It has not worked were a country does not have a GDP that far outstrips the population count.
Whenever a country adopts it it fails, mainly due to the government forcing people to pay for their and others mistakes. The prices always go way up. The value you get out of it never covers the cost you are required to front in taxes. Socialist regimes never listen. The individual is never as important as the hive.
The hive is all and they will break themselves before admitting error and changing their ways.
The good you get out of it never really matches the cost you are required to put into it.
I think I know where the original poster is going with this. The concept of economic reality escapes most socialist.

they arenāt going to spill the beans on that, the fanfest keynote is one of the most anticipated eve events of the year and thats only 2 weeks away.
