EVE Is Dangerous. Yeah Right

The kid is spewing is propaganda to everyone without even checking the player’s backgrounds. You can’t be dumber than that.

That’s what happens when you’re taught what to think, not how to think.

You see, this is the part you DON’T have proof of. But statement that if you remove piracy ppl will go is true… would start with all CODE. agents - with all their (subbed) alts.

And this is your excuse for denying it?

Sry but you can loose if you fight but if you do not fight you have lost already…

The only possible comment to a spoiled kid that only wants to cement the current status because all other possibilities would be inconviniend…
And btw…it’s not me making way to a theme park…it’s PA/CCP…look at this “instanced PVP” thing…

Do you really think it will stop there?
That’s just a preparation,a try in the hope the PVP*ers are slowly accepting and get used to the poison.

If you cannot see it…
Well…than you maybe not have witnessed things like this in the past.

There’s no proof either way, but that hasn’t stopped you from claiming your opinion to be gospel has it?

Well we HAVE proof that the current status does not work, people are leaving so denying the try of a 180° turnaround is MAYBE not the cleverest behaviour.

I would confess that it maybe not has to be a 180° turn.could be 170° instead but not moving at all and simply waiting for the truck rolling over you while admiring the beautiful lights it radiates like a deer on the street?

This is no conclusion either.

But some here seem to be satisfied in their deer roles…

Do we?

Certainly people leave because of the PvP aspect of the game, this has been true of Eve since 2003; it’s also true of other games in the genre, people don’t play what they don’t like or find too challenging.

On the other hand Eve had continual growth when it was much more brutal than it is today; hisec being mechanically safer than at any time in the past, even more so if you pay attention.

So you are basically saying eve loosing players is “natural” and there’s nothing to do about it?

CCP already had to confess that their shiny statistics are a little bit, let’s call it “misleading” because the 37 k average contains EVERY SINGLE ALPHA aka nonpayers.

If you take a closer look you still see 37k average but 50% of them alphas at best…so…the “stability” is in reality a loss of subscription. compared to the status before the alphas go live.
The claim that alphas bring in more than subs is nonsense so at the end of the day and beside this shiny propaganda statistics there is a loss for CCP .

Maybe this helps you to finally get the reason behind some things CCP does in the past and will do in the future…PA wants money, the investors want the money PA holds back so EVE has to create it ,so EVE’s sails will be turned into the mainstream winds in the hope they catch the typical 10 year old with daddys credit card…

That’s the bottom line…

The population is shrinking, it’s the bad pirate’s fault, burn the PVPers. That’s your argument, it’s weak and baseless.

It’s more than that but yes…that’s part of it…an important part…
Not letting a major group of players play their playstyle while nannying a significant smaller one is a no go in todays mmog market.
It was not ok 15 years ago but today this is suicide…

A churn rate is natural in any business, WoW loses players, GTA loses players, banks lose customers, internet providers lose customers etc etc.

So we do what?

Playing the already stated deer and wait for the impact?

PvP is not the only reason people leave. Eve PvE has historically been mediocre at best, if I was in the position of wanting more PvE players that would be my first port of call, not nerfing the crap out of an entire playstyle which is what you’d like to see.

I’ll give CCP their due, they are working on the PvE side of the game in order to provide more interesting content for the less adversarial types in order to retain existing PvE players and attract new ones. What I don’t see them doing is removing PvP from hisec, Eve’s entire reputation is built on PvP, not PvE.

I hope they live up to what they’ve said about the recent change to wardecs being a temporary stopgap until they can figure out what to do with them.

As long as PvP exists in hisec people like yourself will complain about it, just as they’ve been doing since 2003; because you can’t grasp the concept of a full loot PvP game with no PvE only area, nor will you take responsibility for poor choices instead blaming others for your misfortune.

Pearl Abyss + Abyssal space… no impact but a slow agonising drowning.

Complaints since 2003, CCP been listening to the wrong crowd then. Time to change…

Wormholers maybe? because for now they just had listened to nullsec and hisec carebears…

They did, after nearly a decade of constant increases in subscriptions they gave the carebears what they wanted in 2012 and subscriptions started to decline after that.

Go figure.

Time to change again…

I was not here in the early days sorry.

Are you sure it was the carebears that left and not the so called lete pvp players leaving, because CCP were nerfing their playstyles?

We went from 43k players average in 2012 from 31k in 2018. The 12K missing are not all gankers…

check by yourself
