I would like if support fighters were given armaments but less in comparison to standard fighters, like comparing ion blasters to neutrons, the weapons should be there, but not as good and effective as fighters.
Then I can say that you don’t understand anything, John Snow.
Remember that reducing the access to minerals does not reduce the income from those minerals, on the opposite.
CCP. Knight in shining armor…
Please concentrate on your game rather than recreating the second RL.
I quote: “Now, concurrency has more than fully recovered but instead of bots we have a host of genuine new players”
This has of course nothing to do with the fact many millions of people are locked up at home at the moment.
EvE is not for you.
Eve is for anyone who wants to play it, not whoever wants to play it the same way as you.
Correct.
OTOH, Not everyone wants to change it to retain only the playstyles they prefer.
Good news! You don’t.
Personally, I’m just upset so many changes are happening right when I decide to come back to eve. Honestly, I hope the game thrives, and the changes are good.
I’m just sick of seeing people who are like “don’t like something? gtfo LOLOLOLOLOL!!!”
Seriously. Stop driving players away from games because they are voicing their opinions/grievances. That’s what these forums are for. Not for abusive kids who want to poop all over everyone with an opinion different from theirs.
I assure you I am not CCP. Though I feel honored to be quoted as having a good analogy. I think and I could be wrong, the analogy referenced was the reference to Triangle Trade. -Rat
IDK why they don’t try it. This is, after all, the $70 monocle company. CCP could put a “no holds barred” fanciful picture of the Angel Titan in the NES for the equivalent of $1000. If enough players buy it, that would pay CCP for the artist’s time to build it. Meanwhile, you have this really cool picture on the wall of your Captain’s Quarters… (oops)
There has been a steady upwards trend from well before this.
Well, it is and it isn’t. After all, they’re owned by a bigger game company now, and that company does keep an eye on their growth. If you look at slide 6 in the Q4 2019 quarterly report, you’ll notice that Korean localization basically undid all of the damage that the Blackout caused in Q3 (and while @Brisc_Rubal may not remember it, we definitely saw evidence of subscription #s going down in Q3 even before the earnings report came out).
Incidentally, that 15.6 billion KRW works out to roughly $12.6M for EVE’s total revenue.
Mind you, I do think that there’s plenty of room for a new WiS system if CCP wants to actually put the time and effort in to do it well and develop interesting gameplay around it. They’d need to hire more people, but they could easily use one of the available engines on the market, or even consider a modification of BDO’s engine.
If they did that… yeah, there’s a lot of monetization available there, too. Heck, even without it, there’s a fair interest in avatar apparel so capsuleer portraits can look good. I don’t even mean new stuff, just the assortment of things in the game, but not currently in the store. Jackets, etc. They’d push PLEX sales, absolutely no question there, and it’s not like any of it needs ‘shelf space’.
I don’t know why they don’t keep everything listed… but then, they’re need to redesign the NES to actually have a useful UI, you know?
Totally - I recall one of the reasons for the beginning of “mass retirements” was due to item-overload: endless scrolling of the single list organization format. How many minutes is someone going to spend scrolling down, to browse them all? But it does serve a secondary purpose of driving “I better buy now” sales prior to “impending retirements.”
It has high level tabs, but needs sub-organization of expandable trees, under the ships and apparel tabs.
just finished our first moon since the change. along with no minerals, CCP removed the uncommon ore from an r32 moon and replaced it with common and ubiquitous. not sure what the rationale was , but it renders that moon useless to us. even if we start another moon with the desired uncommon ore it will take weeks to get it into our cycle. could someone please explain?
You mean it is almost back to what it was a year ago when CCP ■■■■■■ things up at an extended rate. I see no cause to celebrate (yet). Where have all the Koreans gone to btw?
Learn how to use capitalization first.
we can thank covid for the uptick in players on line. stay at home is bringing people back. but once back . lets hope they stay
They wanted to put an end to high sec and wormhole moon mining but don’t have the balls to admit it, so they just nerfed it to the point of not being viable anymore. Making your moons useless was the entire point.
If you play long enough you will notice this is a common pattern for CCP, they introduce content without considering the long term effects of said content, then when things get out of control they nerf it to the point of uselessness instead of removing it.
They claim that maybe sometime in the future they will attempt to make the moon goo worth mining again, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. They know if they just wait long enough all of the affected moon mining structures will have been taken down instead.
There’s your explanation.
