/r/eve/ users and mods being toxic is not news. It isnt inflating anything.
OP have done usual thing when someone feels injustice was done, brought it on official forum for everyone to see what happened, asking whats so official about reddit subforum, urging CCP to take action against perpetrators. But there is nothing official about reddit. CCP doesnt organize or control any reddit subforum, its only a bunch of players. CCP EVE forums are official. About actions, its up to CCP.

Thats all really.

Yeah, Iā€™d like a link to the thread in question. I remember reading the beginning of it, maybe a couple of days ago. But I canā€™t find it now.

Speaking as someone who has experience with comms-related anxiety due to a neurodegenerative disorder, I am sympathetic to @Ruddger 's plight, in a broad sense. However, I learned a long time ago that some people are going to treat me harshly if I disclose this in such a way that it comes off as an excuse for poor performance. My problems are my own to deal with, and if I get to the point where I canā€™t adequately function in some particular area, then itā€™s on me to either get better/find a workaround or remove myself from that situation so that I donā€™t hinder others.

As for people that hold ignorant beliefs about the nature of neurological disabilities: they canā€™t be convinced otherwise until they have a personal experience with those problems. Sometimes that means a person will never be convinced. And IMO, even being ā€œsupportiveā€ doesnā€™t mean that itā€™s on anyone to excuse or justify poor performance on the part of the disabled person.

TL;DR: @Ruddger, being disabled sucks, I get that, but you can only be responsible for yourself and your own actions.

Why the fallacy of composition? Why make it sound like theyā€™re all like this? And what about the other side of the story? He behaves typically like someone who believes he did no wrong and that itā€™s just the others who do wrong. This thread provides evidence that he reaps what he sows.

Him being angry about people believing autism doesnā€™t exist is childish. Childish. Absolutely childish. Worse, heā€™s running around trying to make people look bad. Heā€™s trying to make the whole subreddit look bad, all because heā€™s a manchild who canā€™t deal with words of some people.

His irrational behaviour provides evidence that heā€™s not doing it to inform CCP, but heā€™s doing it to harvest sympathy and cause an outrage. Outrage/Victim culture. Two million ISK say heā€™s from the US!

If he wanted CCP to know, heā€™d be trying to contact CCP. Thatā€™s not what he seems to desire, though. What he seems to be desiring is revenge. He wants people to defend him, because heā€™s never learned how to deal with the situation like an adult. A common thing on this forum.

Just dont use eve reddit or eve discord, its the same cesspit, same mods and users staying in both places. Nothing officially regulated by CCP.

Ouch. Talk about painting an entire group based on one poster.

Be interesting to know if thatā€™s actually a medical diagnosis in his case, or self-diagnosed based on the results of a google-search on the word ā€˜autismā€™ā€¦

I wonder how many of even the diagnosed autists are just really just the product of insane parents, but I donā€™t know enough about this. Trusting doctors who profit from describing pills is a huge issue.

No, Wrong, When all he ever does is running away, then he will never learn, he will never mature and he will grow increasingly extremist.

Educate yourself. The outrage/victim culture is an actual thing. Itā€™s absolutely nuts. These people are ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  up beyond repair and to an extent itā€™s not even their fault, because theyā€™re being raised into this. Iā€™m not painting an entire group based on one poster, Iā€™m putting him there where he seems to belong.

As it happens, I have personal experience with autism too, via having a couple of diagnosed autistic family members.

Itā€™s thought that there is a strong genetic component at work here, and it is also a known fact that autistic people have a much higher incidence of severe psychiatric conditions such as severe anxiety, depression and OCD. Itā€™s all a very real thing, and it can be tough to live with all this.

But life is tough in general, though, and these are things that are for the individual to overcome or live with.

You say that because you have frequented those kind of establishments? How can you compare?

I agree with you that thereā€™s a very toxic environment on reddit and also that CCP employees shouldnā€™t be using that medium for making official announcements and general communication with customers because they have no control over the medium. However I strongly disagree that people of color would somehow be getting preferential treatment in the situation you describe. You present no evidence to back up your claim and come off sounding racist yourself for making this assertion.

In all fairness, you have to temper your expectations here. Getting upset with a reddit mod for generally being an imbecile is like getting upset with a newborn puppy for shitting on the floor. They literally cannot help themselves.

Weā€™ll carve out a small exception for Chribba, of course.

First of all, he was banned by mod there, excluded. So it is mod who actually wanted him gone, even when that was uncalled for. It is mod who first distanced himself, first mentally, then technically. No empathy.
Why would he want to stay around such mod there? Mod like that shares common mindset with the guards in Abu Ghraib prison.

I canā€™t and wonā€™t even begin to dissect the amount of disgusting comments in this thread. Truly unbelievable, even from this forum.

I entirely agree with OP - this sort of attitude is prevalent not only on reddit, but in this community, and it needs to stop. CCP favouring the subreddit - where they have no moderation power - while ignoring their official forums where they do - legitimizes the beliefs and values the moderators run the subreddit by.

Also, this whole ā€œItā€™s the internet. Get over it. Just block themā€ narrative is cowardly and simply shifts the blame from where it belongs. We need to call this ā– ā– ā– ā–  out, not ignore it. And people are telling OP to grow upā€¦

Again, disgusting.
