Is mining being killing off ...?

Not sure if you noticed but CODE. aren’t about eradicating afk or bot mining, they’re about all the easy target they can find for the tears and sometimes profit, bot mining hunt isn’t their goal.

But I know a group dedicated to hunting carrier bot in nullsec, can’t remember the name though. But check stories about the alliance named Kids with guns, one of the biggest krab/renter alliance in nullsec known for having a lot of bots.

I guess it was to be expected to be far easier to hunt down and destroy bots in null-sec since there are no laws in null-sec and thus no punishment against those who specifically hunt down and attack them in those regions of space. No need to worry about Concord or losing standings with the NPC. The only hard part I guess is getting deep into alliance territory to get to the targets.

Saying a big percentage of Russian mining fleets are bots is not racism snowflake.
Simple observation of reality.
Ps Russian is not a race dumbo it’s nationality

AAAAND I did not say it was racism.

Talking about bots, a interesting post appeared on reddit recently, making a lot of buzz : https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/8yipyt/confession_of_a_botmaker/
It’s to be taken with gloves since there is few evidences but still worthwile to read.

Nice necro

You know what is hard part of multiboxed mining? Dropping harvested crap to your fleet hangar. 16 is still doable [w/o firing lasers at the same time, at best in 2 ticks with kusion like setup] but you would need to warp out orca every 6-7 minutes… and then when you warp it back you are not guaranteed to have it at correct distance from every ship. [but you could circumvent this with dst instead]

It is all marketing, alpha can only spend money (ISKs) ingame, only omega, when pay subscription, can earn significant amount of money. It is nothing about fairness it is all about profit.

Sorry, but waht ? Alphas can’t make significant amount of isk? I am pretty sure they can make about 100M/h w/o too much problems. Clone tag hunting can be quite profitable w/o much risk (t1 dessie is not real risk)

This is the heart of the problem. Eve hates miners. They make these really cool ships like the Hulk but allow them to be ganked for less than $20m by Cats. A big part of enjoying mining is in tweaking your max rate\sec. Hulks are worthless now and any miner needs to cut their yield significantly just to avoid ganking.

Eve is not concerned about automation but just want the players to fight or destroy. Mining is a great target so it fits the fighting model.
Each year miners get demoted to just targets. Can’t just enjoy sitting mining while watching TV any more.
It’s now all about promoting gang violence.

That’s… the point… of the game ?

I mean, everywhere you can look, EVE is not promoted as a peaceful haven. I’m a miner too, living in wormhole space. If you want to sit down, watch your TV and make ISK, find yourself a C1 wormhole with a single static, bubble the wormhole and put a scout on it and enjoy.

I do this, and when there is only one connection, I can use an Orca and two Hulks without the fear of that Catalyst. No, it’s the fear of an entire bomber wing.

Grow some balls mate, get out of your cosy little safespace and EXPLORE. EVE was never meant to be your safe little corner, it was meant to blow things up. Try something new, you’ll forget quick enough about that pesky Catalyst.

Or just get some friends in combat ships nearby. Works too. That ain’t no solo game.

Combat ships nearby doesn’t work.
They either get bored over the 100 hours nothing happens. Get tired of making next to no isk, or aren’t in belt if they are making isk themselves.
Stop pretending escorts actually work with soft targets in Eve. They don’t. never have. never will.

Industrial ships need a redesign to be more like Spanish gold galleons or ww2 engineering tanks.
Actually combat capable ships on their own just with their bonuses being to other things.
Then your whole rant makes sense.
But right now CCP have relegated most industrial ships to the realm of targets by design choices.

100m/h isnt significant ISK

And I dont see a reason why it should be forbidden for me to log in from a second computer while my family-member is playing with his Omega.

I’ve got some learning to do, because I’m nowhere near that sort of income. I don’t think I make that much in a week.

So basically transform mining ships as Swiss knifes ? No thanks. You either take out Covetor and Hulks in a place where you know there is a strong ganker activity and take the risk, or you choose Procurer and Skiff.

Because the game will never cater to your need because you can’t look after yourself. Period.

What is a snowflake is using a flash comment that someone else has used to make yourself feel like boulder.

Eve in and of itself is not a violent place, the players make it violent. Just like a gun doesn’t ever shoot anyone until a human pulls the trigger.

Thanks, this “philosophical” text have absolutely nothing to do with what I said. Try again.

And EVE is violent. Blinding yourself won’t change it. You have gankers to trouble the “peace” of highsec, hordes of solo or small PVP fleets in lowsec and true behemoths lurking in nullsec, ready to boson the ■■■■ out of your traveling shuttle.

EVE is not peaceful. It was violent, it is violent, and it will always be.
